Hey all, i am not a weaponsmith but i do own several very high end guns. I want to find out about haveing them repaired and have thgree main questions: At what condition do weapons begin to lower in stats? Who should i have repair my weapons (does master weaponsmith matter)? and when they are repaired is there chances of permanent stat loss? answers to any of the three questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

1. stat loss begins at 25%

2. MWS will get a very marginal bonus to repair above everyone else. It's up to you whether it's worth the trouble to find one.

3. yes, but I believe permanent stat loss is a bug, and is unpredictable as far as i've seen.

As stated, stat loss begins at 25% left. I had a scythe at 425 max, a few weeks ago I repaired it a little late when the stat dropped to 421. Unfortunately, the dmg stayed at 421 afterI repaired it, but it's a small loss.

As a MWS, I don't think it's worth it for you to find a MWS to do repairs. Best bet is get some 99.999% eff kits, and when you repair, make sure your BF and wounds are all healed to zero. That'sthe best way to avoid bad repairs. Couldn't hurt to buff up your mind stats as well, even if doing repairs while drunk on brandy doesn't make much sense, but I don't think that's absolutely necessary, like getting healed is.

Does BF and being healed really make a difference when repairing something? How did you find this out? I would really like to know why this is important, besides doing better in battle - that is :-)

Thanks,

Oooh yes - was in Geo caves one night and my T21 and 700max DXR Rifle were both in need of repair - my BF was close to 300...... both those weapons are no more

Why didn't I wait

Tested it with crappy weapons since and mostly failed repairs.

Has someone done a run of tests to see if the BF is really a factor?.. Just curious and some stuff is "superstition" like standing next to a crafting station and stuff like that.

Yes.

Don't bother hunting down a MWS. Like someone just said, just get your BF and wounds to zero, get some 99.999% repair kits off the bazaar and repair. Rinse, and repeat. Extensive testing has shown MWS's have no better chance of repairing than you do (maybe a little, but that's even arguable).
