Took me about... 2-3 months...

I was also working up DE at the same time... Had to stop WS so that I can concentrate DE...

(and was also working up an Alt that is pure melee to counter my ex-Master Marksman/Scout who ended up being the crafter, instead of the alt acct *sigh*)

About one month, and work out one mouse... luckily it was a 3 button mouse so I could assign the middle mouse button to work the same as the left one. Then again I made projectile rifle barrels, and had my macro set up to make one every 3 seconds, with 3 sec for the crafting popup to open ame for me to the click the resources, witch was two doublet clicks on the same stack of steel.
Not I would not advice using that grind method, I could not take more the 30 min at a time.

I was also making as selling the weapons I could make at the time. But it was when my server was still new, and I only knew of one other WS in area and he did not have a vendor

I did the barrel grind also, so it took me 1 month, about one hour a day.

About 3 months. Started day 2. So no massive resource vendors. No large harvesters. No armor. And 700 credit missions.

ahhh.. good times.

A little over a month but I did it intentionally. I was mining like crazy while I did the grind and when I hit Master I had the ability to make "good" (lol, I love it when someone asks for a "good" something) weapons. I did Armorsmith in about 4 days but Armorsmith is a much easier grind if you have the right resources and I was pretty well set to make Armor from all the mining I did for Weaponsmith.

The first time it took me 2 1/2 months because 1. I didn't know what I was doing and 2. I was broke as a joke. I picked up MWS again and after solving both problems it only took me about 4 days.

5-6 hours. I did metal poles up to Munitions I. Medium Warheads to Munitions II. Heavy Warheads to Master.

Close to four months. I would have finished sooner, but I decided to give up the grind, dropped a few boxes, then changed my mind again. But I put the time to good use building up a really good resource collection. By the time I mastered, many of my weapons were as good as, or even a little better than, most of the established smiths. I did projectile rifle barrels, no macros.

About a month, back when Tempest first went live... back when a medium harv was a sign of prosperity. =) I, too, did the projectile rifle barrel grind.

I gave it up in Feb/March to holo-grind for a bit, and re-ground it doing heavy warhead mechanisms in about 4 hours. Disgusting.
