made a WS thinking that id get the schematic later up the chain... so i made a Squid... not until i had devoted a serious amount of time doing it.. did i realize only wooks get the schematic... my main toon is a wookiee... that was part of the reason why i went WS... but alas ima have to resort to DK made bowcasters now...

now... if Armorsmiths can make wook armor... ceremonial armor no less... then maybe WS should get the oppurtunity to make bowcasters... what do you think?

No, as a wookie, I think Bowcasters as being FUBU

is a wonderful aspect to the game and think there should be more species specific items.No offense but Should have done some more research. This was one reason I became a wook WS. I also think the wookie armor should have been crafted only by wooks.

yeah.. yer right.... but it should be one or the other.... either armor exclusively for wooks.. or bowcasters exclusively for wooks...

i agree more research was needed.. but i was paying more attention to many other things...... shoulda thunk about it though... maybe i get the award for the most slack brained mon cal ever...

I'm sure you didn't mean to phrase it that way because that is exactly how it is right now ... one or the other - the other being bowcasters exclusively for wookiees

Well - think of it as a slight kickback for people who deliberately pick wookiee over Mon Cal or Rodian as weaponsmith. I recognise that other species also lack the payback of +10 weapon assembly that these two races get, but there it is. You'd be amazed how sometimes people are prejudiced against any weaponsmith that is not Mon Cal or Rodian. My guild leader once told me some people asked him where he was sourcing all of his weapons (they were impressed with them) and he informed them it was a wookiee (me) and these people seemed disbelieving. Go figure.

Wookiee weaponsmiths are few and far between. Daakota and I are the only ones I know of on our server (Gorath). However, this leads us to have a cliquey slant when custom building bowcasters for our fellow wookiees - they are my favourite custom builds and I always extend as much guidance and help as possible to those who come to me looking for a better than average 'caster. I'm sure if you can find one on your server he'd/she'd be more than accomodating in the construction of any custom 'casters you want tricked out.

Much as I would love to help my wook friends with a custom, quality bowcaster, I'm afraid I can't.

In either event, I'm completely fine with Bowcasters being wookie only.

However, I also feel that wook armor should be wookie only too.

OTOH, saying the continuity, much less consistency, in this game is shredded beyond recognition is being overly generous.

well, since its a wook only weapon, it would make sense that a wook would be the only one who knew how to make it. if a human/zabrak/mon cal/whatever knew how to make one, wouldnt it go without saying that they knew how to use it, also?

I think it is right that only Wookies can make the 'caster, but also agree that Wookie armor should have been the same, although I haven't seen very many Wookie Armorsmiths on my server, probably there but haven't met any (no offense to my non-wookie armorsmith friends). I am always happy to provide standard or custom bowcasters to all the wookies on my server, and do a fairly decent business in them. So anybody looking for a good bowcaster on Flurry, give me a tell or email.

One big difference between wook armor and bowcasters is the fact that most wooks aren't going to be using bowcasters exclusively(again most). While armor on the other hand would be more sought after and as a retired wook I can vouch for that. Making wookie armor only avialable to be made bywookie smiths would be a real pain to find.. though not impossible, still wooks get the short end of the stick to much already now having to find a wook armorsmith to make armor for them I think is not a good idea even though it does make sense. Just my 2cents.

wookiee armor should be made by anyone. its bended wood. its armor. armorsmiths make it

the bowcaster should be wookiee only cause i remember something (might be the description of the bowcaster or something) that says that the bowcaster takes a lot of strength to use. so wouldnt it take a lot of strength to make ? and if something else could make it than something else should be able to use it. cause they know everything about it.

to bend wood u just stick it in water for a while. if wookiees can only make the wookiee armor than anyone should be able to wear it. all u have to do is make a small suit of wookiee armor that would fit on anyone

so no matter how u look, how realistic it is or what u think... soe wont let it be right
