Personal Weapon Droid Crafting stations with high functionality rating, do they make any difference and on what?

I did not really notice any, but maybe I did not try the one, which is high enough.

Thanks.

some people think it does nothing, some people think it effects experimentation only, some think it effects only the combine (less crit fails etc), some think it effects both.

I have a +42 rated station, on the offchance that it helps even slightly.

I think the fact that so many people disagree about whether or not these help is a good indication that they don't! If they did provide an advantage, I'm sure we'd all know about it. From my own experience, I don't think they do a **edit** thing.

I think that whatever bug was keeping SEA's (skill enhancerS) working correctly may be tiedto tool quality results. They got the SEA's working so its time for new experiments on failures, poor experiements, great successes infront of public, poor, fair (+8) and elite (+40 or better) stations.

I watched the succes rate while grinding to master. Not counting expreiment since I was grinding and not experiemnting

public crafting station = 10 failures out 100 combines

Private crafting station 32%Functionality= 14failures out of 100 combines

Driod crafting station ? functionality = 3failures out of 100 combines

Don't have too many complaits with my R2 driod weapon crafting station, plus it's portable =)

I dont think so. There would be a hugely noticable differance between a bad station and an awesome station if It made a difference. And I sure havent noticed one.

Bout a month ago, I did extensive tests at tech4, over several hundred trials. There was no reproducible difference.

Now, it's theoretically possible that they matter, but I doubt it.

I dont know, but I got one just in case. I got it cheap too. Just paid 2x what a regular private crafting station costs so its worth it. A far cry from the 30k some loons are charging.

If you can get it cheap for like 4-6k then go for it. Otherwise, dont bother.

I think [empasize THINK] I do better when experimenting.

People have done some pretty extensive testing prior to this last big patch, however I think it's time to try again and see if it has changed. Unfortunately, I'm fairly lazy when it comes to grinding out a significant amount of samples. I'll get around to doing it eventually, but if anyone feels like beating me to it, you're more than welcome to.

30k isnt so much, we are in a huge markup profession and their stations take 450 units of really elite copper to get that +42 station along with some super elite steel. Considering I make as much on just 1 of some kinds of guns, I dont mind 30k. I would like to see architects finally get to craft something where quality mattered. If other professions had items where quality mattered, you would see less complaining on our gun prices and less idiots posting that our guns should be 1200cr or 4cr/u.Perhaps they would understand that once that elite copper ran out they may never again get to make a +42 station and get stuck with +35's. Credits are worthless in this game anyway, dont be a hypocrite and demand cheap stations when we enjoy the fat of the lamb with high gun prices. Throw someone a bone and pay 30k. I pay 30k for a non-CH pet like cowardly gurreks. I have already seen offers on my server for 500k per experimentation point gained in skill tapes.

As weaponsmiths we make pretty good money. Spread the love a little, what are you saving it for anyway? Im not the richest smith on my server but at 5million Im not having to worry about expenses anymore. I am more than happy to do something like this from time to time to make someones day. Besides, if they get them working, which could have been last patch, 30k is worth getting less failures.
