Thread: Ok, now that the new nerfs have gone in, what will combat classes look for in weapons?

Ok, right now, the high level elites look for max damage (as well as to some extent min damage). With all their mods, speed means nothing to them. And that's all they care about. But, now that the new patch is in place, and mission payouts are 1/5th of what they used to be...well, do u think combat classes will start being more concerned with Durability than anything else? With cost of travel to the adventure planets plus the time it takes to gain money now, will Durability become the major stat that combat chars look at? So, in other words, rather than making a 36/190/1.8 FWG5 with 870Durability. Will combat classes now be more happy with a 36/140/2.5 FWG5 with like 1300Durability (or even 1500 Durability if that's possible).

Just curious. I think that now with the new mission nerfs, durability will become the key thing that combat classes look for. What do you all think??

HAM costs, espcialy on rifles, with the new PvP damage reductionI do almost as much damage to myself shooting my rifle as I do to my target, more if I'm waring my armor.

I've started hearing more people interested in one off weapons with reduced HAM costs. Before the patch nobody wanted to hear about ham as long as the Damage was good.

I am getting orders in for VK's that have all my points in expermation in ham. Been getting them down to 23/38/23. They are paying me double for them saying " since the last patch this is the only way to win in pvp." anyone else getting this?

HAM experimentation is a complete waste, for all of 2 ham points for 1 experimentatoin and thats at very high hams, as low as 1:1 or 1:2 at lower ham values. Health hams are non consequential anyway. It turns out that the first minor stat (Strength, Constitution, Focus), those values affect how many points you really eat on a special move.A very high strength trims a 105 ham flame thrower into 17 points per special move. Instead of comming to us to lower hams (in which they reject the final gun for such sucky damage to save all of10 points in ham), They could just do a stat migration to reduce the ham costs themselves. With good migration, no armor except mk3 PSG, and all the doctor buffs you can special till the cows come home and the bars dont move.

I do think they may start looking at condition a little closer.

I have my focus and willpower maxed out and as a rifleman I couls still use a gun with lower HAM costs. I wont even tuouch my T21 because Ill end up incapping myself with that thing.

If we make a rifle with fully experimented HAM, it'd be like 10 lower than normal and havehorrible damage/speed. You'd end up hurting yourself MORE with specials because you'd have to take so many more shots to make up for the low damage.

Also, the damage reduction that appeared in the big patch was a bug, and was supposedly fixed in today's patch.
