Thread: To Rocket Launcher Makers...

This question is for all Rocket Launcher makers...

Do any of you apply Grenade Power-ups to your protons before assembling the actual RL? If so, will there be a proportionate rise to the damage a RL will do? For instance, if I add a Min DMG Grenade Power-up to all my protons and increase the min dmg from 1500 to 2000, will the Rocket Launcher be substantially more powerful?

What about if I add a Max Dmg?

If anyone's done this, I'd appreciate some input. I plan on making a whole bunch here real soon. If no one has answers, I'll post what I find.

Also, what if I put Min Dmg on some of the Protons, but Max Dmg on others? Will both stats go up? Will those no longer be considered idential Protons (they'll still have the same serial #)?

the only grenade powerup I have ever seen was a klicknik gland and it wouldnt work in a proton grenade just c12/22 and glops.

An interesting idea Padawanchong.

Hadn't thought about that actually. I was too busy moaning at the amount of resources it was taking for one rocket launcher!

I'll make another one, and give it a go. I am assuming that I'm gonna have to factory produce the grenade powerups too.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

I don't mean enhancers - actual Grenade Power-ups. They can be made just like Ranged Weapon Power-ups.

And let me know what you come up with Joon if you come up with it before I do. I'll have something by Friday for sure - perhaps earlier. I've got 1000 Light Warheads and Fusing Mechanisms all completed. Ready to start on some other Proton Components

Hear that Commandos on Radiant? I've got the goods coming if any of you want it.

Hmmm only way I could think this would work is with a crate of grenade powerups. I will have to test this too.

Well, I run crates of power-ups all the time, so that's no problem. But I don't think they'd need to be identical - or at least identical in the sense of the word. I wonder if the Serial numbers just need to be identical. I guess we'll find out

I figure that when I put all the items in the hopper, I'll have to manually add the grenade power-ups to the protons, so the Ingredients hopper would get full pretty fast and this would be have to be done on multiple runs (if done on any large scale)

if that works, then would slicing the protons work too? since they still have the same serial numbers

That is a REALLY good question. Hope someone has a chance to confirm or deny this soon. I will at my 1st convenience, but it'll be awhile.

God... slicing would be weird though, since the slice stats wouldn't be the same (they would be the same with the same powerups).

Even dumber question, have proton grenade stats been proven to carryover to the rocket launcher stats AT ALL? There's always the chance that they're like those ingredients that are required, but don't do anything.

In my experience, the stats of the grenades dont seem to matter much, if at all. Ive made post-fix Rocket Launchers using both pre-fix and post-fix Proton Grenades, and there was no noticeable difference in the stats.

Well, my protons typically have a higher min dmg than my RL's, but the RL's have a higher Max dmg. I'll do some testing over the next few days.

Proton grenades for 900/stack!?!? Do you enjoy the gauntlet you have to run to make those things?

This was the first thing I tried on a rocket launcher. It didn't work.
