Thread: Use for Krayt Pearls?
This has probably been beat to death, I apologize if this has been asked and answered, but I didn't see anything recent on this.
Does anyone know what krayt pearls are for? I have a bunch, and although they say "melee weapon enhancer" they list no stats, and I can't find a schematic they work in (although I haven't tried every schematic). I heard 2 diff times (by no one w/ any credibility 
) that they can be used to enhance VKs, but VKs don't have an enhancement slot, and they don't fit in the vibro unit enhancement slot.
I have also heard rumors they are used for lightsabers, but that wouldn't make much sense to me, as this would be what I would expect the force crystals to be used for, and using pearls in lightsaber construction wouldn't seem to fit the SW known literature.
Anyone? I am amazed that people seem to be able to sell them at 200k apiece if no one has any idea what they are for.... I am starting to suspect that either:
1) Theyare not fully implemented. My money is on this one.
2) They have something to do with Jedi
3) No one has figured it out yet
There isfairly conclusiveevidence that they're lightsaber components:
They have no stats and don't fit into optional component slots on any craftable item
They didn't exist until the patch that added the force crystals and other lightsaber components
They're mentioned in some data file along with the force crystals and other saber parts
They're used as lightsaber upgrade parts in KOTOR (http://www.gamebanshee.com/starwarskotor/upgrades/images/kraytdragonpearl.jpg)
It says melee weapon comp. has anyone tried dumping it in a set of VK'S ? or any other melee weapon? iv had my hands on a couple but never tried it.

It doesn't fit in any melee weapon slots.
