Thread: Pricing Regulation
It's an open, player-run economy. If a player can sell for less, have fun with the game, and still make a profit, then so be it. There should be no price setting. Otherwise it would be a capitalist economy anymore. So what if the WS's are selling for lower than you enjoy. Trust me, on weapons, u can still make a profit. The profit margin for weapons (even at rock bottom prices) is still HUGE.

If someone feels the urge to sell a T21 on the bazaar, then so be it. It could just be a ploy to get someone to visit their shop. I highly doubt that someone would make a crate of 25 of 'em and sell 'em all on the bazaar though.

Also, as a piece of advice. If you see a T21 on the bazaar for 3K credits, buy it...QUICKLY! Then resell it on your vendor for your regular T21 price. That way, you make a HUGE profit w/out any of the work involved. I do this kind of thing all the time with Arch products. If I happen to be travelling past someone's deeds vendor, I'll always take a quick step in and see what they have for sale and how much it is. If it's cheaper than what I sell for by a good bit, I buy it. Then I either use it myself or resell it to customers for usually double, or on rare occasions, triple what I bought it for. It actually works out VERY well in the end.

A couple thoughts...
1.) Nothing you or I or anyone else says, either here or anywhere else, is going to have any effect whatsoever on what prices people charge for their weapons, nor should it have any effect. It's their game too, and they pay the same $14.99/month that you and I do. Trying to tell people they should fix their prices is like spitting into the wind, and is only going to frustrate you.
2.) Not everyone crafts weapons because they're looking for money. That may be your primary motivator, but for someone who's just looking to get his product out there (for whatever reason), giving T21s away on the bazaar makes perfect sense.
3.) I'd be willing to bet that the folks who do list weapons on the bazaar for ridiculously low prices aren't making anything of any particularly high quality. Any master weaponsmith (indeed, anyone who's invested any amount of time in the profession) realizes that the only thing separating us is the quality of our resources, which primarily comes from the time and effort we've spent inaccumulating those resources. The guy who sells a T21 for 3000 credits is more than likely not in your league, and isn't going to represent any kind of competition for you, once the buyer realizes the tremendous difference in quality between a T21 rifle bought off the bazaar and one from a private seller.

You can set minimum prices and still be capitalistic, I just don't wanna see any more T21's on the bazaar for 3000 credits.
I think most power-gamers would much rather deal with a WS and his vendor than a bazaar in town. What goes on at the bazaar does not affect me one bit. I only look at it when I need some resources in a pinch.
