im using the same macro listed in the sticky and was starting to grind out metal staffs as i am still a novice weaponsmith and i was doing this for like an hour and checked to see how much xp i was getting and i had zero. macro runs smoothly but im just getting no xp. when the macro runs it still eats up my resources so it seems like its creating something but im not getting any xp. any help would be apperciated. wasted an hour and like 30k steel. i did change the pause to 4 speed up the macro but i don see why this would have any effect as i still have plenty of time putting the resources in.

Occaisionally the game will just stop showing any xp increase. This can happen with any kind of xp. Usually, if you relog your xp will update. If that doesn't work I'd contact a CSR, as you should definitely be getting xp if your resources are being used.

Are you doing this near a crafting station?
If your crafting tools are in the toolbar make sure that after you finish adding your resources that the tool shows a countdown. If it does not there may be something wrong with your macro.

If you are NOT seeing the countdown, I posted a possible solution for that in someone else's thread a few moments ago.. Works for me, so it might help.

The problem is you are near a crafting station. Move away from it and try crafting again, I am sure you will see the gain.

If you are making an item that requires a crafting stage it adds 1 more line for experimentation you have to bypass to get the XP. In other words, when crafting an item which you need a crafting station to produce, add 1 more line of /nextc to go with the existing 2. When crafting items you do not need a crafting station for you only need 2 lines of /nextc
