Thread: Master Weaponsmiths are freaking cry babys
O please. i'm a novice weaponsmith and every Master weaponsmith i have seen i've asked if they would like to give some knowledge to a starting weaponsmith. They all acted as if they had a stick so far up there tails they wouldn't even talk to me. Like today for one i was tring to give away for free my decently made D18 pistols for free and a Master WS siad "o me o me i want one yeah right!" and that was uncalled for
So its become clear to me that i chose a interesting field of work ruled by dicks, thats fine i'm from America i'm use to big corporations shuffing their **edit** down my though but that doesn't mean i have to like it.
No offence to you decent people but some people are arses and i usualy tend to say things in anger w/o much thought so an apology in andvance
Howdy;
Changing servers is sucky - but I have helped a lot of folks come up the weapon smith ladder. Must agree that nobody seemed to want to help me tho. Very touchy crowd. Prolly the reason I have no troubles helping others. And ignore all the whiners talking Under Cutting. Just put on ignore list. If you want to sell weapons at 3-5 cpu, just do it. Customers will be pleased.
As to the nerf. My vote is Wait And See. It seems like more of a compromise between the old way (Only Certain Levels Allowed To Make Certain Weapons) and the new, where all make everything. It will be more like when I came up the tree I think. I couldn't make squat worth selling until master. So, Nerf - or more like what it used to be <shrug>.
Some people are just more competitive and in being as such, refuse to foster a healthy opponent.
I am always down to learn something and teach others... I am definitely not one who goes around saying that they are the uberest WS that ever was or will be. But, it can be fun trying to be. =)

Itry to answer and give advie to any new smith that sends me a tell... that being said..
Early masters didn't have handy dandy macros to grind out WS in a week.
Early masters didn't have 13 BER heavies to mine a mill plus resources a week.
Early masters had to figure out everything the hard way by doing it themselves.
Outside of my guildmates, I do not feel Iowe anyone a damn thing, let alone someone who wants to insult me for not answering every question they have as soon as they ask. The worse thing as to date to happen to crafting imo, is the macros. We have entire generations of crafters who became masters by practicing one item over and over without learning how to actually play thier class. Smiths who actually try to play and level up normally get the cold shoulder because we get tired of being asked the same questions over and over by people who should already knwo what they should be doing to begin with. That's why newer smiths get the cold shoulder quite often.
I don't care about competition, to be frank a new smith can't compete with an established master, if you don't have the resources, you don't have the stats. Someone will always sell for less/more or have more stocked than I do, that's nto an issue either. As far as extremely low pricing goes, if you want to spend more time at the crafting station and loading factories than you need to, I say go for it. But if your stats aren't up to par...well a cheap rock is still just a rock.
To sum up, I think most masters DO try to help, but I think they get rubbed the wrong way by macro grinders who should know what they are doing yet have no clue. Also sorry, but if your post and title are any indication of how you treated the people you asked questions of, I wouldn't have helped you either. If you were on my server and made a post like this instead of offering to help you I would add you to my ignore list.
