Thats right you Master weaponsmiths that totally harshed the dev's for there upcoming changes. ive never seen so many: Your going to ruin the game, i'm going to quit if this is but in live, i want my mommy because there going to nerf me.

O please. i'm a novice weaponsmith and every Master weaponsmith i have seen i've asked if they would like to give some knowledge to a starting weaponsmith. They all acted as if they had a stick so far up there tails they wouldn't even talk to me. Like today for one i was tring to give away for free my decently made D18 pistols for free and a Master WS siad "o me o me i want one yeah right!" and that was uncalled for

So its become clear to me that i chose a interesting field of work ruled by dicks, thats fine i'm from America i'm use to big corporations shuffing their **edit** down my though but that doesn't mean i have to like it.

No offence to you decent people but some people are arses and i usualy tend to say things in anger w/o much thought so an apology in andvance

This is a game, the people you are describing seem to have forgotten that, no doubt.

But you posting this show that are you taking it much more personal and forgetting even more how much this is about having fun.

They'll nerf crafting then be it, at worstI'll stop playing SWG, so what ? There are plenty of other games around, the world won't stop spinning.

If they think this is a good and needed change, well it's THEIR game, they do whatever they want, we're *just* playing it. Our strength lies in the freedom to stop playing if we wish so and move to another game. If you feel you are not able to stop the game anytime you want, ask yourself whether this has become more than just a game, more than just a way to have fun for couple of hours far from your real life problems.

Howdy;

Changing servers is sucky - but I have helped a lot of folks come up the weapon smith ladder. Must agree that nobody seemed to want to help me tho. Very touchy crowd. Prolly the reason I have no troubles helping others. And ignore all the whiners talking Under Cutting. Just put on ignore list. If you want to sell weapons at 3-5 cpu, just do it. Customers will be pleased.

As to the nerf. My vote is Wait And See. It seems like more of a compromise between the old way (Only Certain Levels Allowed To Make Certain Weapons) and the new, where all make everything. It will be more like when I came up the tree I think. I couldn't make squat worth selling until master. So, Nerf - or more like what it used to be <shrug>.

Yeha the same happened to me when i was grinding. They are so afraid of competititon. I still offer to share all my resources with new masters and offer my +43 crafting station to use also. When the craft something better than me I congratulate them and ask them what they used. It is a game and it is supposed to be fun. A lot of the weaponsmiths are pricks. I even had to pay for most fo my training. It is all really sad.

Yep, same experience .... when I was comming up I could hardly find anyone to talk to me about anything. Interestingly, when I became a Master Weaponsmith it seemed that none of the newbies were interested in anything I had to say. Oh well...

Some people are just more competitive and in being as such, refuse to foster a healthy opponent.

I am always down to learn something and teach others... I am definitely not one who goes around saying that they are the uberest WS that ever was or will be. But, it can be fun trying to be. =)

Come to the Bria server. I always have helped out people climbing the later. But to be honest you attitude sucks.

As far as the nerf goes;

We have no choice other to accept it at this point, and since you arent a master it wont affect you anyway.

The only thing i have to say back to you is that on wanderhome (my server) most weaponsmiths are sweet as can be. Then again yes i am a female lol and probably end up getting more help bc of that. But you will learn as you master ws that you are boggled town at times with crafting and when someone sends you a tell wanting something you tend to be short and wanting them to get to the point rather quickly. I know that sounds bad but at times you don't have the time so to speak to actually talk about the weather and such. Good luck with bloodfin, and as far as the upcoming update the devs have been nerfing things for a while we all knew it was just time until they nerfed ws.

You have no idea what being a master is like until you are one.Obviouslyyou are a noob novice since you were trying to give away crappy d18's. No one uses d18's. Not even ones made by masters. Tell you what to do with just about everything you make while you are grinding to master....DESTROY. You are a freakin cry baby, come here cryin about no one will help me, no one will by my noob d18's... As far as the nerf goes, I think it's necessary, and I didn't sign the petition...I don't think lol. So umm...yeah.

Actually Forceone, I have sold quite a few d18s . I don't know if it's holo-grinders or new players buying them but they do sell quite well for me.

Itry to answer and give advie to any new smith that sends me a tell... that being said..

Early masters didn't have handy dandy macros to grind out WS in a week.

Early masters didn't have 13 BER heavies to mine a mill plus resources a week.

Early masters had to figure out everything the hard way by doing it themselves.

Outside of my guildmates, I do not feel Iowe anyone a damn thing, let alone someone who wants to insult me for not answering every question they have as soon as they ask. The worse thing as to date to happen to crafting imo, is the macros. We have entire generations of crafters who became masters by practicing one item over and over without learning how to actually play thier class. Smiths who actually try to play and level up normally get the cold shoulder because we get tired of being asked the same questions over and over by people who should already knwo what they should be doing to begin with. That's why newer smiths get the cold shoulder quite often.

I don't care about competition, to be frank a new smith can't compete with an established master, if you don't have the resources, you don't have the stats. Someone will always sell for less/more or have more stocked than I do, that's nto an issue either. As far as extremely low pricing goes, if you want to spend more time at the crafting station and loading factories than you need to, I say go for it. But if your stats aren't up to par...well a cheap rock is still just a rock.

To sum up, I think most masters DO try to help, but I think they get rubbed the wrong way by macro grinders who should know what they are doing yet have no clue. Also sorry, but if your post and title are any indication of how you treated the people you asked questions of, I wouldn't have helped you either. If you were on my server and made a post like this instead of offering to help you I would add you to my ignore list.
