Thread: Is it worth just becoming a Melee and Crafting Technique Weaponsmith? (Just doing those two tree
Yep, without assembly +100 and experimentation +100, it would be tough to make exceptional melee weapons.Without master weaponsmith, you'd only have +75 / +75, and that would only give you 7 experimentation points. If youhad resources for your melee weapon that were SR 850, you would not be able to max out damage even on those.
Making master weaponsmith is certainly easier / less expensive than purchasing tape (on my server the tape is ridiculous, one guy paid 20 mil fora +13 experimentaiton tape), so I would go the master WS route.
There is certainly a market for low-end weapons, but you have to sell on price rather than quality, and so it's more difficult to make a reasonable income on those.
Thanks folks. Well it seems like I would be better off selling all the ore and etc. thatI have amassed rather than use it to grind on just those two branches and focus on mastering other branches with the skill points. Correct?
Thanks again,

No one is saying that non-Masters can't turn a credit, and of course there are (a few) non-Masters concentrating on lines like munitions, but I still think on most servers it would be awfully difficult to make competitive products without the 100+ skills.
Besides, I think after a while one would naturally want to make the best weapons possible anyways. So, in general I would conclude, no, it's not a viable option to remain a non-Master.
