Thread: Subcomponent usage

Ive read about the differences between advanced and normal subcomponents but my question is what components do you use on your different weapons? T21's for example. I know that I should use advanced stocks if i do use a stock, but do you guys use advanced or normal barrels? Do you use scopes on other guns? Thanks for any info.

Also, I checked the schematic out and it says FWG5's take a feed mechanism, not a power handler. Did i read this wrong? I could have sworn that ive heard of krayt FWG5's....

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.....yes, you could krayt up a fwg5, but not anymore, krayt only goes in blaster power handlers, sorry.As for advanced vs. standard, I only use advance components. For awhile there, I was forced to use standard blaster barrels since the resource spawn gods did not deem Shadowfire worthy of a rhodium spawn since yoda was wearing diapers (since then we've seen 3 different rhodium spawns, argh!) And they do make a significant difference and will give you an edge to those WS's that aren't using adv components. Conversely, if you do not use adv components, your weapons will be viewed as inferior since most other WS's will be using them. Also, take the time to get quality resources, it makes a world of difference in your finished product.

I personally use advanced stocks if I am going to stock and always use the advanced barrel. If nothing else it will improve the weapons range.
Scopes are a bit more tricky. This is the one item that can truely be a curse or a godsend depending on whether you use it properly. Example I always use advanced scopes on scatter pistols. People rarely do not use this weapon at optimum range. Result if you pop on a powerful scope you get them a real bonus on plain everyday hits as well as special attacks. While on laser rifles most people are too dumb to use it properly and will walk right up on what they are fighting. So I would use a basic scope and slash the ham down to 1.
I definately use scopes where applicable. Even if its just to get the user a plus ten. Now if your server has produced uber materials for the advanced scope. I would go that all the way. Reason you can get the same ham yeild as the basic with a bit more to the range anyway. On the other hand if your sever has lousy ingredients you should go with basics all the way. No point really in chaseing down green diamonds and chromium when you can do just aswell with the basic. The basic is so non specific its easy to get the full experimentation, and only be off by a couple points on the range with far better ham.

I don't know if I'm doing this wrong or what, but a T-21 w/out a stock and an advanced rifle barrel yields a speed of 6.8 or 6.9for me, while the same thing w/ a regular rifle barrel gives a speed of 6.4, but the difference between the barrels is -.33 for the Advanced and -.45 for the regular. Shouldn't the actual speed difference between the components be .13?

T21s are bugged all to hell. The other day I found out how to futz the experimentation. Only to find the subcomponents do not seem to be adding up right, and the list goes on and on. The weapon is supremely bugged. Do not try to apply logic to it. You will just get migraines. You can shove wrong ingredients in slots, and somehow it will work. Truely something needs to be looked at in this weapon.

The Fwg5 got nerfed 
and changed toa projectile pistol. The enhancements for PFMs are Spider Fangs and Gorax bone shards. Both of which are more rare than krayt tissue.

On many rifles I use the standard Rifle barrel. 2 less damage but at least .12 more speed.
