Well, first lemme say that I was almost scared of posting this after reading the sticky's(do not wanna get 1 star) but I think you guys are the only one who can help me out so here it goes. I opened my Force sensative slot a little less than a week ago and have gone completely through 1000 condition on my lightsaber, it was just a training one so not really a big deal. Question is what is the most important quality in minerals, chemicals, and metals for them to last the longest possible. I was a long time Droid Engineer so I have many many minerals of high quality so I think I can use many different combinations to make many different lightsabers. Now I imagine that the decay resistance would be the one I am most concerned with but some weaponsmith's are claiming on my server that its the shock resistance. Also I was never really sure what the overall quality was for I mean I have steels with all stats in or above 850's and the OQ is 150. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it and I hope this is not the wrong board to ask such a question.

IIRC the final combine is 100% shock resist, the subcomponents are probably something else. Crafting tool says what stats are required on each part.

POKEY THE PENGUIN SIG REMOVED BY GARVA BECAUSE "Just because you are crafty enough to get around the technicality of it being a .jpg or .gif does not mean it is not an image, it is not ascii art, it is an image" SO HERE IS MY NEW SIG.

At present, lightsabers are 100% shock resistance, so nothing else matters. The only "sub-component" (if you can call it that) is the crystal / pearl, which is either looted, or has no stats (in the case of the refined crystal pack). So just find yourself some resources with nice SR (Duralloy Steel is probably your best bet), and you'll be set for crafting your sabers.

As far as the decay issue, that's a problem for all sabers, not just the training one, and nothing you do is going to change that fact. The speed of saber decay is actually one of the top jedi issues at the moment.

Keep in mind, this is all temporary, since the jedi system is will be undergoing a complete overhaul in the next couple months. Your best bet for further information is the Jedi board, where they can advise you better than we. Also, keep an eye out for TH's "Jedi Archive" posts, in which he'll be outlining the nature of the changes to the system as soon as he is able.
