dx rifle is acid dmg, medium armor piercing. T21 is energy dmg with heavy armor piercing. T21 IS the most powerful rifle available due to the hvy armor piercing.
The point is that some resources are going to be hard to come by. It is there to make it challengeing, and it also gives a dedicated master the edge. Though I bet your wrong on the spawn rate. One do not trust others recollections. I have had people tell me oh that has not spawned for five months when I have mined it five times in that period. Two sometimes a resource can be very slick if you do not pay attention you can miss it. Sometimes it will spawn on one planet, and then only for a few days. So it can easily go un noticed. The best you can do is use swgcraft.com current resources, and check periodically yourself.
Be on the lookout for a good resource vendor. Not the bulk sellers mind you but the guy that focuses on uncommon resources. I have found a few of these people about, and they are well worth the prices they charge. When in doubt use the bizarre on a galaxy search some players stockpile rare resources then sell them on the open market as they need to generate cash, or someone cleaned out their attic and is selling of resources they might have used for anything from hologrinding to med manufacture.
What you are looking for is out there all you need to do is find out where it is.
