Thread: Weird Looted swordcore question
These arent too bad. The MIN has been gettin higher on a few of the CORE loots.
Are they GEO cores?
Yes, sorry - I meant to say that these were Geo Swordcores...
So, how does it work when the min damage is higher than the max?

In regards to these Cores they are pretty good about = with my advanced sword cores, but these are "geo" so you can use them in Geo needed things, like a scythe ( if you could not get your hands on good solids and yellow cubes to make an enhanced scythe) ... any ways the link about the acklay bones are different in the fact that the min dmg /max dmg ratio was so whacked on some bone drops that the final weapon created had a Min dmg Higher than the Max damage... with the 1 pt diffeence here no way the final product made with these sword cores would end up with a higher Min dmg than max dmg... so therefore the weapon would not be in violation of the dmg laws etc...so sell them craft something with them
etc
hope this helps
I agree Trean. Am using 43 43 -0.6 13% 6/6/6 so anything around there would be normal. What makeshis Better, however, is the fact that they will make Scythe, whereas the above will not <grin>.
Go see HEDON and slay the dragon. Then let a Weapon Smith make one for you. Would be nice to get additional enhancers, but the scythe isn't too really bad without. Mine came out 2.7 173-285 with a lot lamer cores than you have there.

I wouldn't use them, take a look at this post from the valcyn forums:

I doubt that these will be taken by csr's or the weapons created with these will be taken by csrs. I mean I can create sword cores with 42/42 min max damage, and I can also get a mod success and somehow get sword cores with 42/22 min/max damage. The 1 more damage in the min column in this case will not be enough to bring the min damage on the weapon so close to the max that mitigation or whatever game mechanic is violated.
Oh no, Oh no no no no no =D
I'm a Master Swordsman anyway and love it, and during my quest for good Scythe components basically decided I'm going to have a crack at Weaponsmithing, so these will go safely into my "long-term storeage" backpack for when i hit master WS and know what I'm doing.
And hell, even if i don't know what i'm doing I'll just take 'em to a WS and ask for a "1 for me, 1 for you" deal. Only bad thing is I looted 5 of them, not 6 (bah!), so they couldn't be used to make a schematic and further 2 scythes /sob.
I got 7 looted geo sword cores from a guildie last week. They were 93min 54max -.45spd+33 ideal range. Made two superb scythes (factory run) that are 241-332 2.7. Strange kind of drop but no matter what I would have used these in they would not have forced the min dmg above the max.
Problem with those bones is they were being put in stun batons and gaffis. If used in a PH the discrepency is not so obvious and they are no longer game breakers...
Just looted 4 sword geo sword cores that are:
Min 33
Max 32
spd -.612
Wound 16
Ideal 31
Health 7
Action 6
Mind 7
Are these worth using in a Scythe?
