I don't read the merchant message board, so apologies in advance if this is repetative.
1. Being able to load a crate in, and have the vendor sell the items one at a time. The benefit to the seller is that there's only one item to place into the vendor. The benefit to the buyer is that he doesn't have to page through 50 identical items just to get to the items he's interested in. Of course you'd still want to have the option of selling by the crate too - there's no reason it can't work both ways.
2. Special order items: only the designated buyer can actually purchase the item. This benefits both buyer and seller the same way: no need to coordinate time online.
3. Galaxy-wide vendor search. This benefits the buyer because he knows exactly where that two-handed axe is going to be without having to slog his way through a hundred vendors outside coronet only to discover the stats on the one axe he did manage to find are poor. This benefits the seller because he can get his items into the hands of his customers, and he can also check out prices to see what items are selling for. Nobody wants to under- or over-price their items, and being able to see what other items are going for would help a great deal.
4. More specific resource filtering. When I go to the bazaar, I don't want to have to go through page after page of 'mineral' just to find that specific type of steel that spawned last week which had 1337 stats.
5. Item delivery. Part of making a game fun is the capability of providing instant gratification to its players. Finding an item on the bazaar in the middle-of-nowhere Tatooine may mean having to take one or two shuttles, with their associated wait times, to get there. Instead, just have the item delivered to the bazaar you're standing in front of for an additional fee. To make it more emersive, maybe it takes a minute or two to get there, with an email message stating that your item is available.
6. Bazaar terminals in player cities. Why should only 'official' cities get bazaar terminals? Combine that with item delivery, and you've got yourself a nice system.
7. One-click relisting from the stockroom screen. Why force players to click 'sell item', enter an amount, and then click 'sell item' again? The game knows how much the item was listed for (since you can get it from the 'details' window off of the stockroom screen), so a 're-list' button would be great, especially if it allowed multi-selecting like the 'withdraw item' or 'retrieve item' screens do.
