Thread: Best weapons for noob Marksman?????

As you probably already found out, you can only use weapons that you are certified for. This means you need to start out with the CDEF pistol/rifle/carbine and work your way up. Take a look at the marksman profession tree to see when you get the certifications for the various ranged weaopns.

Here are some of the weapons i use when I get the cert...
At pistols 2 or 3 ( I cant remember) Get a Scout Blaster
At Rifles 2 Get a Laser Rifle
At Carbines 3 Get a Laser Carbine
I used these and it was easy to master

Hi all,
I posted this message on the Marksman forum and also thought it would be a good idea to post here for you weapons experts to see.
I Just opened marksman and looking for advice on best weapons to purchase? I have the bucks to spend on just about anything but don't know if getting much higher quality weapons makes much difference since I amnew and on low levels?
What pistol/rifle/carbine would you suggest? With mods now or wait until some levels attained? Any help would be much appreciated and remembered for the future.

My noob guns are better then most elites. powered up and dmg sliced, my DL44 pistols are 350damage (1.8 spd), DLT20a rifles are about 450 (5.0)and DH17 Carbines are pushing 350ish (3.5-4). And these are non krayt. and all are useable at level 1 for their trees. =)
find a WS and talk to them. See what they can do with these. With quality resources they make some nice stuff.

The best weapons for marksman are the ones you can use.
And you will always want speed over damage early on.
Pistols, carbines, I recommend the DH-17. Solid performer, cheap, and has a good, predictableDPS due to the high minumim damage and low delay.
Rifle, use the spraystick to level. It's FAST. From there, you can try the Jawa. However your speed mods will be very low, so your special delays will be cripplingly high.

if you are new i can understand why you ask....if not...SHAME ON YOU!
anyway at novice markyou can use a d18 pistol a dlt20 rifle and a dh17 carbine.

mine ar ethe best n00b waepons. best range mods in the galaxy...
