Thread: Anyone going for FS Crafting?

I'm wondering with the probably stealth-nerf we saw with assembly successes, and for fun and more experimentation points, if anyone is planning to go for FS. I'm hoping I can at least gain some FS crafting skills. Not too sure how it works yet (don't think anyone does...). I believe you can start the quests to earn some FS skills, and go all the way for Padawan if you want. I plan to look at it just for crafting.

I will try it. Anything that can potentially reducefailures and increase amazings is worth a try.

If the quests are interesting, I'll probably give it a go on that basis.

Depends what the end result is, really. Force Surveying is quite tempting for me too.

I was thinking about it, but the range extension is not worth the 5 skillpoints, IMO.

As opposed to the 14 it usually costs?

Actually, I likely won't be spending all 5, just 1 or 2.

that is incorrect. the force sensitivities are improvements in ones "senses", and therefore is for the common player. while it will not give you extra experiementation points, it will increase your chances of success in crafting and experimentation, as well as accuracy with weapons, dmg reduction in combat, etc. once you go full jedi, even though you can get other abilities, the true force tree enhancements are far more superior to the sensitivity trees.

I see, so it must have just been the extra experimentation points that they did away with then.

Forgive my ignorance in this, but Iam deployed and have absolutely no idea how this works. If I take my current toon and go up the crafting part of FS, what would that get me? How do the skill points play out? Would I have to drop current skills and get extra points for just the Jedi side of the house? Or would my current skill points be my total allottment and I have to drop current skills to apply towards FS? Either way, if I am understanding what I am reading, I think I might try it. I mean, why not? Its a game. I'm here for the entertainment.

If I unlocked back in January, do I have to do all the new questswith my main?

Don't quote me on this, but it was my understanding that force sensitivity doesn't assist standard crafting professions, only crafting lightsabers.
