hi folk,

could someone please answer a couple of question i have got.

I have to weaponsmith/artisan skills. If i get a high quality weapon repair kit and repair a weapon is there much chance of my weapon degrading? should I be taking my weapon to a good weaponsmith? or should I just run my weapon till its got no condition and throw it. Does a weapon being sliced make a difference to repairing.

Thanks for your help.

In theory Weaponsmiths are supposed to be able to reapir weapons easier than other professions, but I'm not sure if this is really so or not. If you repair a weapon, don't wait until the condition is ground down too low, it will reduce the chance and effectiveness of repair. Wait until it is about 50% of it's condition then repair it. The best result you can get is Minor Blemishes, which will reduce the condition by about 50 or so. A bad result can reduce the condition to roughly half, or even destroy it.

Generally speaking, you might as well try to have weapons repaired, it's cheaper then buying a new one constantly. And the worst that can happen is that the weapon breaks; either way you'd be buying a new weapon but with repair at least you have a chance of keeping it going for a while longer.
