Thread: I have some 84 Krayt Tissue, what kind of weapon turnouts can i expect
Hey, I have some 84, -1.3 attack speed tissue, what kind of turnouts can i expect on
A) scatter pistol
b) FWG
Lets assume I get a 30% slice also
Thanx
when it says 84 max, does that mean it could add less than 84, or will it add 84?
Contemporary Basic Math 101 by Ace
Step 1: You have a FWG5, it's 62-211 1.7, and a Krayt Tissue with +84 max damage and 1.13 speed.
You add the benefits to the base stats.
211 + 84 = 295.
1.70 - 1.13 = 0.57, but the speed cap is 1.0.
So, with the Krayt tissue alone, you would have a 62-295 1.0 FWG5!
Step 2: Figuring a 30% damage slice into the FWG5.
You must find 30% of 295 to find the maximum damage you would have with a 30% damage slice.
We start by converting 30% into a fraction. 30% = 3/10.
3/10 x 295 (max damage) = 3/10 x 295/1 = 885/10. Note that 295 was re-written as 295/1 and that to multiply two fractions together, you simply multiply the numerators and the denominators.
In order to find the simplest form of the fraction 885/10, we cancel out the greatest common divisor of 885 and 10, which is 5: 885/10 = 177/2.
The fraction 177/2 can be convertedto a decimal by dividing 177 by 2, which equals 88.5
So, 30% of 295 = 177/2 = 88.5! Round off 88.5 to 89, and add 89 to 295, and you have your maximum damage, 384! So at the very least, if you get a 30% slice, you should expect a maximum damage of 384 on your Krayt FWG5.
Repeat to figure out the estimated minimum damage and you're all set!
This concludes our lesson.
Or you could calculate itlike this:
295 + 30% = 295 x 1.30 = 300 x 1.3 - 5 x 1.3 = 390 - 6.5 = 383.5
That's a little easier to do in your head.
