How much can the ideal range be pushed out on this?

Best Ive seen for sale is the one I use with no penalties at8 m (I think)

Unless I'm brain farting, the ideal range can't be changed by the smith. Accuracy at that 8m range can, by adding scopes and whatnot.

You can get powerups that increase ideal range, but since it's percentage based it don't help much.

yep, what easy said, you can't change the range numbers, just the modifiers at those ranges.
