Thread: Do you get many repair requests?
Are any of you charging for repairs?
If someone asks me if I can repair their weapon I tell them that it is on their own risk and the weapon might break. I don't ask to get paid, but it would be nice to get a small tip though when I repair their expensive weapons :-).
I was thinking is he out of his mind. When I made them before I sold them for a few hundred. Later I checked the bazaar and every kit over 90 rate was costing like 2,5-3k. I thought that was outrageous so I have put a couple up for 1k each and they have been sold in a few hours. Pretty good markup even if was using 930 cond copper.
I'm a Master Weaponsmith on Scylla and keep my tags down so I don't get bombarded with "can you make me an awesome LLC? an t-21?"requests. I am doing alot of non crafting things post grind. Anyway I've been asked to repair three times(I'm sure it would be more if I let people know what I was) and the first time it failed on a Power Hammer. The condition was really crappy so I feel bad, but not too bad, the other two I had a talk with the guys to make sure they knew the risks. Both wanted Mambres weapons repaired. Mambres was the first Master on Scylla and went into retirement a long time ago. He hardly ever makes weapons anymore and people love those guns more than their characters themselves. One was an FWG5 Pistol, no biggie and the other was a Pre-nerk T-21. Now that was nerve racking waiting to see what happened.

All the time. But I hate failures . . .so I don't carry repair kits with me anymore.

I have repaired over 10 weapons (mostly guildmates) since they changed the weapon repair tool to the current model with efficiency % (mine are 99%+) and supposedly gave us a bonus to weapon repair. Every weapon to date has been repaired with minor blemishes. This includes a krayt scatter, advanced fwg5,post-nerf T21, and a mambres scout. Almost all of them had just over 50% remaining before repair.
I've instructed all my guildmates to not bring me their weapons until they are almost, but not under,50%.
