Thread: A question about DE-10 pistol barrels.

Okay, so I know that the stats don't display on them, and I know that the yellow text ones are better then white text ones. I know what they drop from, but I was wondering if the quality of the barrel varies much depending on the strength of the thing that dropped it. Like, would a barrel dropped by a DW wraith be better then one dropped from a Black sun henchman or something? Just wondering if anyone knows.

How could anyone know?
That would require noting the serials and the creature, building the weapons and noting the stats. Getting a huge amount of DE-10 schematics and barrels and so on. That is way too much work for trying to get a pattern. As I have seen the stats don't differ too much.
Also note that the yellow ones are not always better than the white ones. If the white ones belong to a group with the same serial only 1 will be a yellow one, but all have the same stats. If the DE-10 barrel only drops in singles, your assumption is right.

As far as I know, they only drop as singles so the yellows should always be better than the whites. Based on loot from other mobs (nightsisters and meatlumps drop the same crap rifle barrels), I assume that all whites are the same and mob type won't make a difference.

as far as I know, the barrels only drop as singles. And it seems yellow barrels drop just as often as white ones. heres a good place to start though.
My friend had a DE made. he used +45 tissues and a white barrel. the damage came out to ???-307.
I had one made with a yellow barrel and +35 tissues. it came out to ???-315. so the yellow barrels have stats. and it seems they are always better than the white barrels.
Also, both yellow and white barrels have dropped from the same mobs. so i assume there is no difference in stats between mobs.
