Thread: +14 Exp Points?

There is also one for + to survey skill and a Luck factor. I'm curious about the luck factor. On top of possible being a +14 crafter could the luck also allow you a higher chance of amazing success, etc?

Just caught this on the AS forum.

This is apparently one of the trees for the jedi re-vamp. So if this stacks with +25 from skill tapes you could see +14 exp points from this. So all of the people complaining about competing agains a WS with +12. imagine trying ot compete agains a +14 WS. Although there is not word on if this will stack or not.
I said it when I first read the mods, and I'll say it again.
Utterly ludicrous.
The idea of interlacing Force-sensitivity into EVERY aspect of game play is an amazingly foolish decision. THere are enough people that ask 'Do you have +12 points?' Now it will be 'Do you have +14 points?'. It's just stupid.
Let's take the people that are the heart and soul of the Non-Jedi aspect of the game, and force them to grind force-sensitivity in order to stay great smiths. Who cares that they're already dedicated to the game and have invested all sorts of time, we've got to throw more silly things out there.
Some Dev in a meeting obviously had the idea of 'Well what if force-sensitive people were better at crafting too!' and noone in the room had the guts to take his crack pipe away.
What happened to FS people being RARE? Why must it not be a requirement?
Bleeding Idiots.
FS crap apparently costs 0 skill points and requires jedi exp. Luck increases the value of loot, which probably means you loot 105 credits from meatlumps instead of 100.
If it stacks with tapes, all crafters will be forced to grind through the probably-lame quests or lose all their customers because they don't have 14 points. The armorsmith market will be particularly hard hit because they can actually do good things with more points instead of dumping them into one of three marginally useful lines.

Hopefully it won't stack, and the max will still be 12. Then people can choose how they want to get their extra points, either through spend ludicrous amounts of point or by spending skill points on force sensitive. I for one applaud the idea.
I applaud that idea too....
... but what makes you think that's how it's going to work?
Up to this point, every skill mod in the game stacks. If those bonuses don't stack then there'd be no point to any of them since a total of +20 or whatever ranged defense wouldn't be better than the total most have now so it would be a zero gain.
Of course they're going to stack. The devs think it'll be 'kewl'.

heh
It would be +16 for master artisan humanwhile making artisan items with +25 skill tape and +20 force.
Mouse overs from hacked file, say +20 experimentation to crafting any object.
Fun stuff if your a human with the +15 artisan experiment racial trait.
