Thread: Need Dos and Don'ts concerning Skill Tapes

Hello,
I am about to start gathering a bunch of Weapon Experimentation skill tapes. I'd like very much if someone could tell me more specifically how I should use these in different items of clothing, so that I don't mess up.
I know I need a total of +10 weapon experimentation points to get a new dot when experimenting.
But I need to know what happens if I stick three +1 tapes into the same shirt... do I get +3 point or just +1 ? They are cumulative.
Must I place each skill tape in a separate piece of clothing? The number of tapes on a peice of cothing or armor is determined by the number of slots on the item. You can put multiple experiment tapes on one item. Do they add up? They are cumulative.
What happens if a skilltape gives multiple bonuses to several skills, such as +1 weapon experimenation and +3 polearm dancing... is the lower one ignored? No
All those kinds of things...
Thankful for any help,

Unfortunately this is innacurate.
Tapes of the same type DO NOT stack in a single item. If you put 3x +1exp tapes in a shirt for example, you will end up with +1 exp NOT +3.
The number of tapes that can be put into a single item is determined by the number of slots as stated. You can put more than one tape into a single piece of clothing but make sure they have different stats on them for each piece.
If you have multiple stats on a single tape then only one stat will count. The others will be ignored. There have been many posts about which will stick and which will be ignored but in general the highest stat will be the one to stick. If you have two stats of the same value it is believed that the first stat listed will be the one posted. I don't know that I have ever run accross one of these posts guranteeing that it works the way listed but this is the most common theory so would be most likely to be accurate.

- Does this mean that if I put a +1 weapons experimentation tape and a +2 weapons experimentation tape into the same shirt, they will stack, i.e. end result is +3? Or do you mean that it has to be totally different skills on the tapes?
