I was looking for some resources last night and I happen to browse a resource vendor of a fellow weaponsmith. As I'm looking for the reactive gas I see that he has several crates of ABPH's. They are pretty good ones 19 to 39 damage -0.38 speed. They were all of different prices, some crates (25 per crate) were $50,000 and others were $12,500, and yet others were in between. Interestingly enough, all had thesame serial number. I've never used another WS's components in my weapons (Pride), but since I was low on reactive gas and couldn't find any anywhere.....I bought all of his ABPH's. About 12 crates worth.
Is it just me or is it just disgraceful to use another fella's goods in my weapons? I bought them merelyas a business decision. I'm such a sell-out.

Why be ashamed? If the weaponsmith put crates of ABPHs on his vendor for a resonable price then they must wish to sell them. Since only other crafters can make use of these parts they must have known this and put them there for just that purpose. With how hard it has been for me to find Reactive Gas I have also considered following this aproach. I have yet to find a MWS with ABPHs on their vendor yet but if I do I will buy them myself (if they are at a resonable price). I, too, like to take pride in my work and make everything myself but when there is a resource constraint the business side must take over to continue the business till the proper resources can be found. I see nothing to be ashamed about with this.

Do not feel badly! That player wanted to sell off his subcomponents. Most Weapon smithies cling to old sub components, so one rarely sees them for sale. He propbably made a new generation with some improvement and has a strong desire to use thoseand wants to unload the old ones. You got a good price and spares you your resources.......that is good business. You both made out. You should be patting yourself on the back for a great business move.

Before I made master weaponsmith I made a few weapons with components that I purchased. One vendor was stocked with crates of components for, get this, 5 credits a piece. They were obviously "left overs" since none was a full crate of 25 and none of the serial numbers matched from one crate of power handlers to the next. I had fun making weapons with them even though I only had seven points at the time.

Well....I'm not really ashamed...I just take pride is using 100% my own stuff....I posted this more to get a feel for you guy's feelings on this. Sounds like you all share my feelings, but agree that business decisions trump pride. God I feel cheap.

dont fell bad at all, resources are a tricky thing. No reason for you to have to wait for new spawns to make weapons
