If your interested in some custom work let me know skinny as that's all I do. I ALWAYS scope my weapons.

Scopes basically add range mods to the weapon making them more accurate. My advanced scopes add +43 to the ideal range mod with hams of 15/15/15. So the draw back is that they add ham costs to the weapon. However I can still make scopes that are roughly +15 ideal range that have -0- ham costs involved, in which case there is no draw back at all. So I always add one of the two scopes to weapons that will take them depending on what the client desires for their weapon. Most PvP class weapons would be better off with the advanced scopes with +43 ideal range and 15hams as they will hit more often and the hams costs are typically negligable in most weapons.

I normally Theme Park Scope DRX6B Rifles. This lets me get their Ideal Range Mods over 100.
Other then that, I only scope weapons at special request.

um.... don't use themepark scopes unless your trying to up the wound mod. As I mentioned before my advanced scopes have 43irm with 15hams, as I recall the theme park scope only has 20irm with like 29hams(have to double check as I haven't used them in a long time). Meaning my advanced scopes would add alot more irm than the theme park scopes and at a lower ham cost. The only advantage to the theme park scopes is that they have a higher wound mod on them.

I can make scope with 0/0/0 HAM cost, so I ALWAYS use them: no drawback an improved chance to hit so...

I agree with Feistin, it is quite easily possible to make a Basic scope with a 0 HAM Mod and add that little bit extra to the ideal range, +13 or so. Although the bonus is not that great, any stat improvement is always good.

I use Advanced Scopes on all weapons with the 1 HAM cost the added range is worth it. Even a 0 HAM scope still adds 1 HAM in the assembly so their is no such thing as a 0 HAM scope per say. I get alot of special request PvP type weapons that people want the Advanced Scopes maxed on Range also, mainly for rifles and carbines.

Just made a non advanced scope. It was Ideal +10 9/9/9 HAM before experiementation. I had 1 moderate experiment ended up with +9 ideal 1/1/5 HAM. Going to be used in a DE-10

i make two scopes, both of which are described above... max range ones which go on carbines and rifles, then lowest HAM possible ones that go on pistols. at special request i'll put any type of scope on any type of gun.
