What does this response even mean?? I am seeking a weaponsmith....not to do business with....I am already a master smith as you can see....or did my signature not render quick enough for you. I am seeking a weaponsmith on Kettemoor for purposes of my own, I have posted on the galaxy forum and I am posting here.....because...eh...weaponsmith's read this forum.....

In his defense, he's already stated he's not looking to buy anything. And I doubt he needs training since he's already a master weaponsmith. Although I will have to admit I am curious as to the purpose behind the request for a fellow weaponsmith.

Guys: It's really quite simple....if you must know - I am leaving the game and would like to pass on my huge cache of resources (I've been collecting since summer), weapon comps, krayt loot, etc. I want to find a worthy heir. Seems like the weaponsmith forum is a legitimate place to look. I'd suggest to the couple clowns who posted inappropriately on my thread, who do not know my business nor should know my business, find another way to waste other people's time.

This is a post for a specific server.

95% of the people on this forum are not on that specific server.

There are far too many server-specific posts on this forum and we're getting sick of it.

Personally I never read my servers forums. But I do read this forum (and the merchant forum). I do not thing I am the only one that do that, so it a bit unfair to complain about someone coming here to ask for a weapon smith. Especially not a weapon smith looking for a fellow weapon smith.

I' d suggest the CLOWN cluttering the WS board take his business elsewhere. You are not wanting to talk about Weaponsmith Issues, Information or Ideas.

Ok, seeing his intent, this is probably a better board for him to look. If he wants to find someone serious about weaponsmithing, that person probably hangs around here more often than the galaxy board. Don't get me wrong, I'd be one of the first to post a "use your galaxy board/read the sticky" post, but in this case I think he's justified.

And Ryeun, next time you want to slam someone, please don't use analogies, or if you insist, please try to use correct ones.

If I had posted here my intent immediately - I suspect I would have gotten a bunch of posts with smiths seeking my favor as I leave the game - possibly even some misrepresenting themselves in an effort to make a quick buck (unfortunately it happens) as I have a massive amount of rare, high quality resources, components and loot items. I did indeed post on the Kettemoor forum as well. I did not post on the trade forum as my experience there has led me to believe the attention I would get there is not necessarily the attention I wanted. I want to find dedicated, active smiths...not for a business transaction however. I'm not trying to disrupt this board. Good smiths collect here and discuss the profession. I viewed this post akin to going to weaponsmith clubhouse to connect with my peers.

Furthermore, since I am more of a "solo-gamer" I really only know a few other smiths on my server, Jad, Zavious, Raiyne, Andover, etc. These smiths are either already gone or simply do not need my help. I posted here because I have respect for this profession and the tremendous time commitment involved to do it well. I wanted to find other smiths, dedicated to this game and the profession.

Maybe if he had posted his intent, it would have been more acceptable. How many of these posts do we see a day "looking for this or that on this server" that clutter up the boards? On the off chance that a Dev actually stops by the boards, the see it half full of people looking for our services, and figure everything must be great with our profession, as the meaningful posts get bumped.

And I' m sorry, if I was going to leave all of my materialsto someone, it wouldn' t be to someone who posted on a forum, it would be someone I knew directly, or through reputation. If I was on Kettemoor, I wouldn' t have responded to his original post any differently, though some may now try to stick up for it, in hopes of getting what he is offering.

Reread his posts, the first is vague. The second is defensive in that "we shouldn' t know his business". If we shouldn' t know his business, it shouldn' t be posted.

Malvito, drop me an email sometime if you like.

I was among the first MWS on Kettemoore following Mox, Grail, and a one or two others. My vendor is not advertised on Corellian planetary and I keep my business low-key, enjoying the making of high-quality weapons for my own personal use and that of my friends.

If you have items of value to the arms business, i'd be glad to take them off your hands to carry on with my tradition.
