First of all it is server specific. Secondly, when you're near master and when you have the necessary resources to compete with master smiths you need to go out and do market research to find out what the market will bear on you rserver.

I'm not a Master Weaponsmith yet, but i can tell you that a guid to prices would be very hard to make.

Prices are differant from server to server, not to mention planet to planet.
Resources are also spawn differant from server to server and planet to planet.

You should check with the other weaponsmiths on you server, and preferbly on you planet to see what their prices are.

A range? Ok, here's a range. 250 or so credits on the bazaar to about 10 million for a top of the line Krayt T21. Is that enough of a range? Now, take the good advice that was given you and go research your server.

Market research is your friend.

Learn it

Love it

Use it

The only way you will break into the market is if you can offer something that the other masters on your server can't be arsed to make or just don't bother making because its a lot of hassle.

I rememer when i hit master WS i spent over a week chceking out all the competition while my harvesters were hauling up the good stuff. In the meanwhile to keep me going i was making crates of VKs which I would slice (I am a smuggler aswell) and then sell off on the bazar for 6k a hit.

People started associaiting my name with good products and then started sending e-mails asking if I had a vendor etc etc.

The only way to set your price range is to firstly check out the competition and compare what you make to what they make and then price accordingly. If you are a new master WS and you get a rep for selling crap weapons at rip off prices expect to go broke really quickly. Why in the hell would anyone come to you when they can go elsewhere and get better qulity for less.

Bottom line is YOU need to go and check out the current prices things are being sold for on YOUR server. Don't be lazy, go and do it yourself, its the best thing to do as you get to see the craftsmanship and quality of other WS and you can compare like for like then.

Basic rules of thumb. First do the math find out what it costs you to make the item, and which items can be made well. Some guns are not worth makeing. So you may just want to have one on your vendor for variety sake.

Two decide what kind of weaponsmith you are going to be topline or discount. If you go topline you basically focus on makeing only the absolute best possible. Which means you ignore most lowend guns in favor of more exotic weaponry. This is expensive because you may do alot of traveling to buy off bizarres survey on dangerous planets. If the best axidite is on yavin that is where you are, and buying rare drops in bulk from krayt tissue to advanced vibro motors.

Discount smiths usually will make good entry level weapons at a moderate profit. The point being that you intend to sell more so will make more credits over the long haul.

Location this is very important. The closer your proximity to a large number of players the better your sales and the more effort you can put into the craft. There is a catch though if you build too close to established smiths you will get less business. I have noticed that player cities reguardless of population tend to get less business. It is better to be near a vibrant npc city starting out. Once you get a good reputation then you may chose to move to a player city. Since you already have a clientel.

Simple strategies to get business. Use the bizarre sell some good items at cost. To advertise your shops location. Promotional giveaways go to where the people are and simply give away items as a promotion. Remember the more weapons you have out there the more your name is out there. Never underestimate word of mouth. Manufacture in bulk. Items in crates give you more storage space, and are an easy way to resupply a vendor. Also if you put said crates in a backpack you can do business on the spot with any potential customers you come across. Lastly get a supplier. There is no weaponsmith out there that can hunt down krayts alone.

The best way to do contract krayt weapons is simple. A one for one offer. The supplier gets a free gun and you get tissue. Offer to make two identical weapons. From the tissue. That way the customer has a choice, and knows he is not getting fleeced. The only weapon this dosent work with is krayt t21. Infact it is better to steer away from makeing contract t21s at all costs. Most people do not appreciate the insane failure rate on these weapons. It can only help to ruin your reputation.
