Thread: Help -- what can I do for inv space?
So I'm a trainee WS (2204 currently). I've got a small house on Tatooine that serves as my home, shop and workshop. I'm fussy about appearance (people do tend to remember my shop, which probably brings in a good deal of repeat business), and have about 100 items of my house allowance on decoration alone. I could shave this down a bit, but not that much if I want to keep the current level of decoration.
In addition to the decorations, of course, I have crates of subcomponents (about 30 crates at the moment - all carefully piled up and nudged out of perfect alignment so they look natural of course!), a satchel of harvester deeds (up to 20 of them), a backpack full of resources and a further 20 or so resources stocked in the house, taking me up to the limit for a small Tat house.
I'm running out of space! What can I do?
I can't afford to run another SWG account, so an alt is out of the question. I'm chary of using vendors as I'd hate to see valuable resources get deleted from the stockroom if I didn't manage to log in in time to save them! That being said,I do have some vendors to spare being a 4443 merchant - I've currently got a "Workshop Slave" and a "Housekeeper" who yells at customers about the amount of dust they're tracking in all over her newly cleaned floors!). I certainly can't afford another house - my lots are too precious (2 for the house, 2 for factory, leaving only 6 for harvesters which isn't really enough).
I'm going to need more space, soon - any suggestions what I might do?
Unfortunately for you my friend your problem with storage is only beginning. I’m a Master and I have a huge amount of items to store. You have resources galore subcomponents for guns crates of already made guns, various rare parts and krat tissue if your lucky. In the end I have three houses two factories a couple solar gens and god knows how many heavy harvesters. It’s a balancing act between lots you have available and resources you need to gather. In the end the vendor things is a good option I have a vendor for sales I use and one for overstock. What I do is list the price on resources as 99999999999 so no one is tempted to buy it

So basically the items go back for sale at the same vendor they were put in, which is quite useful for maintaining off-plant vendors where just some items have expired the 30 days limit. A selection in which vendor you would like to place the item would be more valueable, but hey the vendor systems is not very user friendly anyway (why is a resell button missing, etc.), just be thankful that such a feature actually exists...

Might sound obvious but I don't think I saw anyone mention it yet, you do have a backpack space. I carry a lot of resources in my pack, in addition to harvestor deeds, survey tools, crate of Bespin, etc.. Otherwise just try and load things into factories.
I did the whole range of these things but still kept running out of space... the only thing that has saved me from having to cut back harvest/production is storing parts in the factories until use (output hopper never over 50%), using the input hoppers for temp storage, using houses for permanent storage AND having a vendor for resources...
I have 4 houses, 14 available factories, 3 bank vaults, and the storage merchant (resources extracted for each run - no backpack storage required anymore)... What compounds the problem is I am Armor AND Weapons... AND until about 3 months ago I was a Chef as well... PLUS one of my alts is a doc... As you can see my storage problems are compounded greatly... If I didn't use all the techniques for storage I wouldn't be a multi-crafter... Come to think of it I prolly wouldn't have the 3 accounts of my own and be outsourcing harvesting to guild mates
