Thread: Max Stats on Weapons and Armor.. Why?

can anyone tell me why Bone Armor cna never get higher than Composite? or why a CDEF pistol can never be more powerful than a FWG5?
i'm jsut wondering, is there a point to limitting how powerdul the differant armors and weapons can be? if they made it so a tangle pistol can do as much as an fwg5, where would be the harm? if anything, it would create alot more differant styles. Weapons could still have differant damage types, and that would be the bonus to having one over another.
same with composite armor. everyeon adn their mother has it, whereas i think bone armor actually looks kinda cool. but i'll never use it because theres no point if i can get composite with is 10 times as good. why not remove the max protection from it. the fact each armor can protect better from certain things would keep it so no one uses the same one everywhere.
i know this is probably very confusing, as my mind doesnt seem to work on the explanations right now, but all i'm trying to say is why can i make a bone armor set with the same stats as composite?

It comes down to quality of the product. Woulda Yugo be as good as a Porsche? It "could" be but it wouldn't be worth it. I think its kind of along those lines. Maybe even a Le Car........

Weapon ceritfications give the combat of the game balance. If a cdef did as much as an fwg, it would take away from building the pistol skill to the point where you get the ceritification. Basically it keeps a new player from doing as much damage as a master. Otherwise there would be less reason to be a master pistoleer.

well couldnt a system be introduced that makes any gun somone uses when they are at a certain level go down to what it is at now? so a CDEF with 215 max could never work for somone with pistols 1.
