I'd like to mention that the Laser Carbine I crafted on TC-Valcyn did NOT have the same special action cost that the converted Laser Carbines had. (Converted Laser Carbines were all 94, the newly crafted one was 102)
However, the largest bug in weaponsmithing at the moment persists, and it's going to seriously cripple the game if it's not fixed: The guns I crafted came out with stun damage instead of energy/kinetic. Due to the way the math works out, while a similar DPS laser carbine would do, say 300 damage per attack, this "stun" laser carbine was lucky to hit for 1 damage per attack. This is a very serious problem, meaning that basically until it's fixed, we won't be able to craft anything useable.
