Thread: Petition to stop CRAFTING NERF..>PLEASE SIGN AND KEEP ON TOP!

You guys are dumb and don't know what you are talking about. You weaponsmiths complained about the constant failures you always get during experimentation and assembly in which we shouldn't be getting, and then they mention making quality of resources have a bigger impact on weapons and you all cry other than going out there and collecting valuable resources! You guys don't even provide reasons on why this patch should be stopped, half of these posts are just /sign /sign /sign or don't do it, its a nerf....but again, you guys fail to prove on how THIS PATCH IS NERFING US! Of course, as the stubborn fools you guys are, you won't even bother to read it and go on ranting and complaining about this supposed nerf that is happening in which it is not a nerf. And that is why you all shouldn't be weaponsmiths....I WOULD SUGGEST YOU GUYS GET AN EASIER LINE OF PROFESSION IF YOU ARE HAVING A HARD TIME TRYING TO COMPETE IN THIS ONE!

It's the day after tomorrow. Did I miss something?
No. It's just the typical smokescreen we get before the implimentation. Time to bend over.

Okay so you guys have a little mathematical proof to "somewhat support" the reason to stop this. But the one thing you guys never try to understand and realize, that there must be some reason that the devs are doing this. They are not out there to piss off the thousands of customers they have! There is a reason for these things, but its so easy to come up with a petition thread with some guy that just yells out stop it, its a nerf! It'll make the rich richer and the poor stay poor without anything to back the reasoning. There's some reason the devs are insisting on sticking to it, and if you actually gave them the chance, you might learn why. Its like trying to tell a man what to do with his cards in a game of poker. You don't have the slightest clue on what he has. For all we know, maybe the devs might give us double experimentation points.
In case you didn't know, programing is based on math, therefore, mathematical proof FULLY supports our reasons to stop this ill concieved patch. One of the great things about math is that it gives quantitative results that can be easily seen. It is not subject to interpretation or any other subjective analysis. 2+2 always equals 4.
A resource that is 1000 in one required stat and 200 in the other required stat will always average out to be 600 (for items that require 50% of each stat). This means the starting point of experimentation is 18% with a maximum of 60%. The new system requires all 10 experimentation points to achieve the 60%. The old system only required 6, leaving 4 points for another stat. How hard is this to figure out? With gated resources, this is a NERF to the crafting system.
Seems like they enjoy pissing off their customers, they nerf the game constantly and still haven't fixed a pile of bugs. As far as the reasoning behind this and the other nerfs, that was supposed to be posted yesterday, but as usual the DEVs dropped the ball on that too.
Its quicker to jump on someones back (sure I'm not perfect either, I forgot about that whole prenerf crate thing, not like you guys are perfect), stopping the devs from doing what they would like to call their job and let them explain what they are actually doing to the game. I don't see you guys being devs and only a couple of you probably MIGHT be able to grasp what it takes. Frankly, I don't and glad I'm just a player of the game having to deal with all this crap, how much time you think they have on their hands to just keep updated on the posts and immediately reply to your cries and pleas within a blink of an eye.
It takes very little time to keep people updated. Posting a quick note here or there goes a long way in keeping people happy. The DEVs must also understand that it is a two way street and that they will have to take critisism for unpopular ideas. DEVs are not thegodly people you make them out to be. I know several people who could come up with a better ideas than they have on correcting this game.
I didn't mean to call all of you dumb. Its just that the millions of posts seem to be mindless and completely without reason save 10 or so and it makes me angry how quick people are to jump on the devs back all the time whenever things like this occur (in other MMO's too). They happen for a reason! And as far as I seen, is a rather pointless petition. Why don't you guys actually give it a chance before crying. Maybe if its bad enough (if its completely bad at all), the devs might change their mind and switch it back. Who knows, we still don't even know the reason why they are doing this. Its just quick for everyone to assume that the devs are out there just screwing us over.
We want it stopped now because the wait and see attitude will result in it never being taken out. That is why the test center exists, to test the stuff before it hits live.
Wow xxsyrusvb, all that name calling, I may have called you guysdumb, but I didn't take it any further than that. Hope through all that iggnorant fool this (is iggnorant even spelled right?) and naive fool that (at least naive was spelled right), and saying your not going to waste another minute with me. But here you are, and here you are again, reading this post. And using words like little. Does that actually make you feel better? Hope it does, because it never really came at a cost. Yes, you did get one thing right, Einstein, I am stubborn. By the way, this is SWG, not reality, in reality everyone doesn't cry nerf to the "Developer".
Since this post was made 2 days ago.. what "tomorrow" are you talking about?

Update: Crafting Experimentation Changes
I wanted to stopin and give you an update. The team understands the scope of the changes with crafting experimentation and how it is going to effect you guys. The team has discussed this at great length and as we "speak", we're putting together a long informational post to explain the bigger picture of whats happening.
Once we post that, we can discuss the changes in the thread, address your concerns and answer your questions. The current ETA is sometime tomorrow.

TH, posted he will come with the wole plan 2 days ago and we are still waiting. Actually I can tell you they are having brainstroms at highest level to see how they could either let us accept the pill either stop this from going live. Don't dream, they will never ever give us 20 Exp points with the new system because it would make all items 50% better than they are actually and in case you didn't saw they are levelling all players things lower and mobs higher.
==> They want us to play grouped not to solo the high end mobs <==

About the "beeing a dev" thing, I know a few people wich are playing and I can tell some are very good database administrators/developpers, low level developper, system administrators, look specially towards the DEs...
Totally agree, can you explain me why THmakes less than 10 posts a day? If and I insist IF SOE was really doing a good communication job TH should make at least50 posts a day explaining this and that, asking for players feedback, reporting brainstromed ideasetc etc...
We all know he is busy, we all know SOE lacks communication and we all see very good suggestions from players.

So true, this issue show us the In concept - In testing - In live process didn't worked. It is a perfect example. The crafters had an issue, they posted for a change, the DEVs came with a new system, put it in Testing. The players came, tested it and rejected it at +98% and it STILL goes LIVE???
If things goes lives even after the players tested it and rejected at 98%it would proove that TC is only to test the code is working and won't make the game crash and NOT testing is to give the players a way to express their opinion. That's what I actually tend to think...

Well in your way of thinking I could say hey I just shot you in the headbut I didn't take it any further than that. Ok you are dead and you still come back to...
Listen we aren't telling anything bad about you but when use some words or sentences be prepared for ANSWERS. If you kick someonedon't expect a kiss in return...
And in reality I can tell you people cry after devs and they usually have to either redo the job ar are kicked out...

Recently, some VERY good materials have been spawning on every server that I play on (all 2 of them, lol). Anyhow... they did say that material quality will have more effect..so they are rewarding the artisans that shop for the best. Making master more than just a title..A true master will be making stuff on par with current high end..But not everyone will be. And a novice could, in theory, do very good items, using the best materials. At least that's how I'm reading the posts by people actually ON test and trying it out.
Perhaps there will be a resource fix along with it, or experimentation will use a different formula than we're panicking about.
Hello,
sorry but even with 1000 resources quality in all needed stats you won't be able to acheive as good products as before with lower resources. The fact is we are all loosing about 40% Exp points than before and caps still exists on specifics resources.
