If I'm fighting unarmed I'm using a VK. If I'm unbuffed I just don't use the strongest specials. The VK just adds too much damage.

I've migrated my stats so that mind drain isn't really an issue, but that probably relies too heavily on buffs, and the fact that I'm a human where the stats are all wonked.

Exactly. I'll even unequip it if my mind is low or just stop using specials. It all depends on the situation. I like to be versatile.

I saw a VK at someones vendor today @ 2.2 Speed and 201 damage for 800k...
Am I right to think that this is Stupendousley overpriced? I would never pay that much for a weapon.

hmmm, I guess it depends on your server... I'm on Chilastra and I've seen some of the high end vks (ex. 211 max, 1.8 speed) selling for prices 1-3 mil. which I would never go for, but I did recently find one (189 max, 1.6 speed) for 45k which seemed very cheap

dude, i have an alt on chilastra, just bought a 211 max 1.7 speed at 150k...had a few of em...gimme a tell/email ingame

wow, thanx! I'll need to hunt those down, I've only found 200max vks on 1 vendor so they were all overprices

I'm on Ahazi, must be the vendor trying to pull a fast one. I have 2.2 speed 174 Damage that I bought for 15k from a different vendor

u can get all way up to something like 197 with noraml vk's and dam slices, so everything above that makes a big price jump, because u need rare components

what is the best copper for making VK's?? one that maybe spawned in the past that I could use a vet reward to get??
i heard high shock resistance is preferred? is this correct?

If its for the final assembly not the motor, id ask one of the other smiths on your server about spawns of JTL copper since they dont have caps on any stats.

The New ship wright copper can hit 990+ SR. Where as OLD shifts were capped at 800.
On my server we previously had 796SR copper and recently got a shift of 836SR copper for ship wrights. This 40 point boost gave +1 to damage on VKs.
Depending on your server this could be an even bigger difference.
