My two cents if it matters...

There are enhancements for the FWG5. They are on Lok, mob's drop them; they are call high speed projectile mechanisms (or something of the sort). I have only had the luxary of getting one of these to craft with, it was a +30 to Max Dmg, and a -.03 to speed. Much like the low end krayt drops.

Now the one thing I have foung in my 4+ months of supplying people with guns is the lack ofunderstanding of what weapon is best for the job. There are mainly two factors to decide on. First is damage type (energy, heat, acid, etc), the second is DPS (damage per second). I change guns out in the field fdrequently, from my scout to a fwg5 to, yes, even a tangle pistol. The reason for this is the resistance certain mobs have to certain damage types. A decent gun doing the right type of damage can be more effective then a fast gun with the wrong type of dmg. Considering these two factors one can become a very good fighter.

I have no expirieance in PvP so I cannot chime in on that, but as for hunting the advice above helps, trust me.
