I would have to say.... the two handed curved sword. Just for the hell of it. No real reason. It's shiny... beats a PH until you get speed, and it can be as good as a scythe, sans the speed. Did I mention it was shiny? Nothing beats a shiny sword....
Um, the speed is as good as a scythe...the damage...now that's another story. Although I agree that a 2h curved sword is a great utility weapon and is nice for grinding swordsman due to speed.

I was refering to a 2h curved sword with a damn good rancor tooth in there... it raises the speed a couple points, depending on how lucky you get with the experimentation roll, and obviously the speed rating on the tooth.

Ya, the best rancor toothe I've seen is +69 to damage. It raises max damage, slows down the weapon, adds a few % to wound chance, and screwes up the HAM costs. Itstill pales in comparrison to a scythe made with regular looted genosan sword cores (+40 max damage or so) . If you compare apples to apples, then you'd be referrig to a scythe made with decent yellow cubes and solidifying agent. You would need a rancor tooth in the +200 range, and I'm not sure those exist.

I had a +150 rancor tooth... it was not exceptional or legendary so I am sure +200s exist. But I still believe scythes are better than two-handed curved swords because of the damage range.

D18 pistol gets my vote, It's awsome for any crafters or other noncomat profs that can't afford anything other than novice marksman for defenses. I have several that I made that are 0.0speed and 200+max damage making them ideal for non-combat profs especially crafters who need to clear harvestors or other mobs(corsec at the starport anyone). Nothing like being speed capped with a 200+max damage weapon and only having novice skills. I also use one on my jedi for clearing lairs or pulling agro.

That's true. You got me. I was stupidly thinking in terms of attack and speed only, silly me
I've made a few with some108 max attack rancor teeth, and they are *easily* better than any executioner's hack I've ever made. Around .4 less speed, and 10 or so more damage. I think it would be possible to make one with damage comperable to a scythe fairly easy (maybe not min damage, or ham costs or ranges), but oh well.

It is clear: The Bowcaster !
For a Wookiee Rifleman it is a really nice weapon. Good damage, speed and range and low HAM costs. Against unarmored targets you will make more damage than a Laser Rifle.
And you can add Feeder AND Powerhandler enhancer. With good enhancers you outdamage a T21 against "soft targets"

Or they can use a nice pre-nerf Republic Blaster, that pupy makes grinding the marksman pistol skils a breaze

ana-mo-cara wrote:The thread is most underated. Not turning garbage into gold. D18 is not underated its rated just right total garbage.I think the number 1 most underrated weapon is the dh17 pistol. Most people ignore it and go for a dl44 or a fwg5 while in the class in my oppinion its pretty damn good.99/151 1.8. Low ham highly accurate. The only draw back is its armor peirceing, and that dosent matter on low end game really. Its deffinately the most underated gun in the game to my oppinion. Simply because people get blinded by max dam and ap. Sometimes its just better to take down a bocatt with a dh17 then a scatter pistol. Shocking as that may be to some people. The speed the acuracy the low ham.Sadly most players with buffs and super armor never stop to realize that it is actually better to use this gun in some situations.
I agree, the DH17 is pretty damned good for what most folks consider a low end gun.

The Berserker Rifle. Even without Armor Piercing it is a great Short Range Rifle Weapon. I have a Master Rifleman and was Dueling one of my guilds PvP (pistoleer/Commando) Afterwards he told me he never had a rifleman take out his mind that quick especially at close range.
Also the Enhanced E11 Carbines. This is a Great Bounty Hunter Weapon. (I made this one for a Master bounty hunter in our guild and he posted the stats on the BH boards and a dew of them are going gaga over it.
