Typical post-nerf FWG5 stats seem to be: 2.1 or 2.2speed, 170 or 174 max damage.


The best pre-nerf non-krayt FWG5's were typically 1.7 or 1.8 speed, 210 or 218 max damage. Yaman's Flame Dragon Krayt FWG5's were 1.1 speed, 304 max damage.


So your gun isok by today's standards. You still might want to get a couple of the new FWG5's and see if you can getthem sliced fordamage, though.

It may not be. A decent pre-nerf FWG5 was around 210max dmg around 1.8ish speed (+/- depending on server). With a 30%ish damage slice you could easily reach those numbers on an ordinary FWG5.

You either were ripped off big time, or that's a typo. That weapon could not have been made with +90 tissue. It looks more like it was made with one of the enhancers the drop from Nyms.


To the original poster: it's not a bad pistol for leveling because of the low speed. Just don't use it against anything with decent heat resists.


*also if we're comparing Krayt FWG5s, I still have one that's 409max @ 1.3 without a powerup. It's never even been fired.

My fwg5 pre-nerf and krayted with a crappy damage slice is 1.8 speed 245 max damage. Best i ever saw was like 488 damage 0.9 speed but i am pretty sure that was a one of a kind pistol. Nowadays if you want one like this made you have to kill the gorax on endor and hope and pray he drops a gorax shard. Btw only one gorax is ever up at any given time and he's one tough critter. Makes most krayts look like piket hunting. personally if i had a gorax shard it would go into a striker or tangle pistol or possible a tusken rifle that i could sell for a mintto an eccentric rifleman.

You're right, it was a typo. The FWG5 with these numbers wasn't the same gun I was thinking of.. This was made I believe with my own lower modded Krayt. The gun I got from Yaman was a Scatter Pistol, with a speed slice: 0.9 speed, 289 max dmg, decent ham mods.

lol shedao there are 3 great wepon smiths actually yaman dutch and gwrz. i go to yaman for all my melee and gwrz for guns and dutch is just way to high.

Pretty sure they're both damage sliced, but I could be wrong, they were sliced when I bought them. I'm happy with both of them, though.






That fwg5 is just prenerf damage sliced cause i have a few that were made with -.3+30 welfare tissues that ended up 1.4 300 damage sliced. But yeah i got two 1.1 400 pre-nerf fwg5's unpowered NOT double sliced and i never really use them unless i wanna one shot a newb, otherwise i just use my krayt dx2. Fwg5's were made by thoax, throw up for our lost thoax on the gorath server.

i think the highest damage was 773 (or something around there)


the fastest was 0.0 (yes, that's correct)


i'd be surprised if these were still around

I saw a chain sliced fwg with 10000 damage 0.0 speed. The idiot who used it in pvp had it taken away and his account banned within 5 minutes. 10000 damage would mean a near 20k damage last ditch shot in pvp, and 100k damage in pve. At one shot per second.
