The incompetence of the devs never cease to amaze me. I suppose in a way that it's good they're screwing up SWG. I mean... at least it's just a game they're working on and not some intercontinental nuclear missile fire control and guidance system :/
lol very true
This is just idiotic!
They have trashed crafting bit by bit with every borked patch they release.

I cant for the life of me believe this bug hit live...
Yes, I know this is difficult to believe. Many of us work in fields where this sort of sloppiness would result in us being unemployed before the end of the day.
But the CH pet bug, reported 10 days before the publish went live, went live anyway, and it reduced all naturally tamed pets to level 1(0) with an H bar of 10, rendering an entire profession useless.
There has been a consistent pattern, from launch onward, of reporting bugs in publishes on TC before they go live and the bugs go live anyway. Why even bother having a Test Center if the bugs go live? This is the eternal question of SWG.
I've come to the conclusion that SOE/LA management does not care if the bugs go live. Meeting the publish deadline is more important than quality to them. Quality Assurance at SOE/LA is job LAST.
When you craft something, try a test-run with projectile rifle barrels (the grinding thing, you know) and do a few practice runs. Double click the resource (steel) you need, twice for the barrel of course. The resource list will give an updated number, but the details below the resource list, once the resource is clicked, won't update.
That is, this is NOT only seen on "experimentation", but it's a BUG of the details area of the crafting window by itself.

So, basically, the crafting windows in GENERAL are bugged. This "you can't see the experimentation result before making the weapon" thing can NOT be intended.
This would be stupid, and makes ABSOLUTELY no sense. This can't be intended. It's a general bug. Let's hope so...

I'm almost tempted to just close shop in protest. All crafters lock the doors of their shops (put an access fee of 1 mil or somehting) and change thier signs to say "CLOSED IN PROTEST OF CRAFTING BUGS". That way the whole player base would begin screaming about the consistant inattention to crafting issues.

Are you crazy? Thats what SOE wants us to do so they can get the Combattants to back up on NPC vendors and crafters
I currently have all my vendors barking messages like "Due to the current Experimentation Bug that went live with this patch, I am no longer producing weapons and am unable to take orders" and "I will be taking orders when the Experimentation Bug is fixed, or quitting Weaponsmith in 2 weeks, whichever comes first".
This is an inexcusable bug for them to allow to go live. If it continues and I sell out most of my existing stock I will close my doors and change my House sign to read "CLOSED DUE TO EXPERIMENTATION BUG" or "CLOSED DUE TO SOE'S LACK OF CARE FOR CRAFTERS" or something like that.
This can and will kill the economy dead, so I have to assume they will fix it quickly, but given their record on fixing bugs it could be live for months. The longer it remains live the more I will assume its a deliberateattempt to encourage the crafting population to quit or change professions. Fornow I can only assume that the programmers and developers at SOE are just inept morons who shouldn't be allowed to code jack.
Devs: "You keep using that word ... I do not think it means what you think it means."
