Hey all,


I wholeheartedly agree with this petition- the changes were not thought through. At the minimum, a Master Weaponsmith with +25 Experimentation and +25 Assembly should be able to make post patch better items all around. But even they will make weapons worse. Sigh.

Thunderheart has no clue what he is talking about. However, he can't be so stupid to still claim this would be what we wanted. He is just lying and insulting us if he posts that stuff once again.

Stop this bull**edit**. We didn't want it last time you proposed it, we don't want it now. And we will never want it. Because nerfing something without any reason is not what we want. Destroying one of the few mechanics in game that works well is not our priority to be changed. Screwing up the complete economy is not what we wish for.

Thunderheart, if you still think this is a good idea and improves anything or even needs fixing, read more of out posts, talk with us, and start crafting yourself for a while.

Thunderheart, if you still believe we WANT those changes, get another job.

Just made master weaponsmith, and all i was ever hoping for was not losing looted items when crafting (applies to armor components loots too). I was master doc before so I know a bit about crafting already, better resources would usually make better results but 3 amazing success on average resources could often result in better results than using the best resources and that was making it quite unpredictable and thus fun.

Losing a krayt pearl because you're unlucky that's not fun at all, but losing a few resources -be it great- offset by the fact you can also do great is a nice bargain.

Again I say keep everything as is, just make it so we NEVER lose looted components on a critical assembly failure.


SOE why bothering with people who aren't dieing for changes... what about taking care of BEs instead ? or what about taking care of smugglers ? don't tell me about the In Concept thread : Holocron started talking -posting-about the smuggler revamp back in semptember 9 http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=smuggler&message.id=19942&highlight=#M19942.

I agree with the sentiment of "tell us what you are trying to fix/change" - if you give us the reasons behind it then we can try to find a middle ground with you.


It should be very clear that we do not want this change as it is presented (or currently implemented).


How about you tell us exactly (in clear terms) what you think we want and how this change give us that.

There is no middle ground to be found here. ANY step in the wrong direction is a bad thing here, remember that. They don't owe us an explanation. They owe us a RETRACTION of this nerf.

REVOKE THE CHANGES


It's going to put a LOT of crafters out of business.


It doesn't just affect weaponsmiths...It's all crafters (already been said in several threads...just adding because it's true) which in turn, affects EVERYONE.


Lower damage weapons=lower XP rates=pissed off players



Bored of the Grinding. Taking a break for an unspecified period of time.

This looks like another inane attempt at making everyone 'balanced' in the long run. Lets just cut to the chase here and make everyone master rodian master brawlers... oh wait warcry is getting nerfed... hmm... master riflema... no... bleed was nerfed... master creatur... oh no nm, those poor people are the red headed nerf children. Bah, lets just all be image designers and we can sit around and drink tea all day and gossip. Although I"m not sure where we would get the tea since the crafters are gone.

Well presumably they have a reason for wanting tochange it - they just have not communicated that reason at all. They said that we asked for this - clearly we did not. They should definatly not attempt to put this into publish 7 and then figure out ways to get what they want withou pissing of the player base.

This the first time a nerf going to really affect me. The other thing I am really upset about is that there is no solid reasoning behind this nerf besides, "This is what we asked for." I just really hope it is not a part of the whole combat balancing issue because if it is, thenit is a really bad way of going about it.

Update: Crafting Experimentation Changes


I wanted to stopin and give you an update. The team understands the scope of the changes with crafting experimentation and how it is going to effect you guys. The team has discussed this at great length and as we "speak", we're putting together a long informational post to explain the bigger picture of whats happening.


Once we post that, we can discuss the changes in the thread, address your concerns and answer your questions. The current ETA is sometime tomorrow.
