Well, not really...
you can still use the 3 droids to fill up with schematics tomorrow for those things that are/would have been better under the new scheme...
It a brandy new pre-post-pre-nerf (or something like that) market!Yeah I thought of that, it seems a bit dishonourable though. We fought against the system, after all. If too many people schematicify things out of this one day window it could lead to dev logic concluding to that this is what we do want after all, or as a forerunner to bring back the system as it got taken advantage of. It's all fishy! Why not tack on the hotfix at the end of the patch cycle.
I just look at is as yet another case of the devs completely missing our point. One of the 2 real problems with the proposed experimentation as far as I understood was that it would create a long term "pre-nerf" market that would screw up the economy and not fix it while creating even more of a monopoly situation (gated resources and generally crappy spawns of rare resources the other). And then they go and make it so there is one random day where a set of things (components, crafting stations, etc) can magically be made better then "normal" and if you happened to miss that one day you're SOL until all those schematics are gone. Maybe its speculation, but by doing the hotfix like they announce they're not only not making things worse in the long run I'm really expecting a lot of things to be better in 3 days then they are today as people make schematics for the components that can be better tomorrow and then take them and put them into the end products that are generally better with our current system.
Not sure how much this impacts weaponsmithing, but if I was a doc I know I'd have 3 droids and a datapad filled with schematics for components waiting until after the hotfix to be combined into usable medicines.
Hey what i'm i celebrating i'm a novice weaponsmith all the big guys are better than me *whine whine*
Not i love the current expermentaion code (i think thats what some one siad it was (noob)) and i'll love it some more once i'm better at it.
Best weapon ever made so far
Scout Blaster
damage 35-75
speed 3.4
H 11
A 23
M 11
good for me see you around smithies
This is rediculous that they pulled this idea just because a load of ill informed people who never even tried the changes were up in arms. This is the worst thing that could ever happen to this game, the vocal minority get their own way and screw all of us who welcome change and enhancement to the game.
The only Smiths against this idea were the lazy players who are happy clicking buttons to make server wide standard weapons. 99% of the whiners hadnt even been on the Test Center to try this new system out. I had a damn load of fun making some better weapons with the new system and couldnt wait to get it on live with the resources I know inside out.
Im canceling my account until these changes are put back in and makes this good crafting system a truely great one.
Lets just see how many people actually like the new system after trying it for a day. Hopefully then all the doomsayers and lazy gamers will be pushed back and shut up so the new system stays in.

How can this be labeled a "Nerf" on one hand, and on the other hand so many people are looking forward to making better than normal schematics on the one day that this change is live? Doesn't that seem like a contradiction if the best schematics in the game after the hotfix are the ones made under the "Nerfed" system?
Just curious...
There are some good points to the "nerf." The TC reports said that some items made with the best resources turned out better than before. People plan on exploiting(take advantage of, not cheat) that.
I'm actually looking forward to testing it out and see exactly how the "nerf" changed things. Is it really as bad as we hear? Well here is my chance to find out first hand without hours and hours of boring grinding on TC.

Some items, specifically those with one line of experimentation and resources that spawn well, are actually a little better under the system that was proposed. Because resource quality mattered a little more it would be easier to hit "perfect" on one line with resources in the high 900s. This means that things like some medical components, some basic weapon components, crafting stations would have been/are today better. These are the things to make today.
Many other items - both those with multi line experimentation and those whose resources are gated or just never spawned very high on your server are worse under the proposed system. With good resources you may be able to max out Power on your medical component but when you do the combine on the final buff pack your experimentation points don't go far enough to allow for lowering the medicine use and still getting good experimentation on overall power. And then in the case of weaponsmiths, who probably have the most instances of being stuck with "poor" resources there are many more cases then now where even one line of experimentation wont go as far.
But as i've said already, buy doing it this way the devs have blown it and now given everyone who can log in today the best of both worlds. They can now go and find all the items and components that would have been better with the proposed system and stockpile those schematics - and then tomorrow go back to the old way of doing things and continue making all the stuff that is better with the 'old' system, but now with a better part then is possible here and there.
People hated it? Did you go on the test server and try it out? Crafters I spoke to said the changes where a big improvement and enhanced the game no end. The time I spent crafting made the game much more fun for me and you had to actually use your brain a little to work out what was best for the item you were making.
I fail to see why i am a moron for actually trying the changes instead of jumping on the band wagon and complaining about this without testing for ones self.
But keep up with the insults as you fall into the catagory of brain dead, lazy gamer who doesnt want change.
