When I are ready for selling weapons, I will sell grenades, meele weeapon and actually right now I'm selling camps in crates.

Thats right it's possible to make more money on selling guns, but if a commando comes in to my shop and see I have grenades then he might comming back... and maybe buy some weapons or equipment...

I'm also a commando, and I would like to see WS's selling all kinds of greandes in crates. I can't find one WS on Bria that will make me a few crates of nades, even for an insane price. (which I am willing to pay) I'd pay 50k for a crate of nicely crafted C22's

Switch to Radiant and I'll be your personal Grenades crafter at that price. For my C22's which are roughly 350-1450+, I charge 25k, but that also includes 2 1/2 crates of power-ups to go with your crate of grenades.

One nice feature with grenades is that they give you combat XP. This makes C12 useful for every combat class since this is the hardest XP to get.

I'm a master and I've decided to specialize in grenades (I'll craft guns if you ask specifically) simply because the market is already saturated of people selling guns. Plus, with all the factory time involved, it gives me time to go off hunting so I don't get burned out like so many of the Masters have who go through tell-hell.

I've only found a few people willing to buy grenades so far. I run 200 components at a time and that'll last me about a week or so.

Now before I go on with annoying "What should I charge for XXX?" post let me warn you..

WARNING: The following is one of those annoying "What should I charge for XXX?" posts.

Ok. =)

Basically here's the situation. I just jumped into Weaponsmith from Architecture. At the moment there's a real strong market for grenades and other explosives as nearly no other Weaponsmith on my server is experimenting with high quality boomers. While I've got an advantagous situation going as I build my personal stockpile of resources, the lack of weaponsmiths giving any attention to explosives is also my biggest bane. I've got no basis on which to price my explosives. I'm looking for some information as to around what crates of various types of grenades run for on different servers.

I specialize in Munitions. My prices are as follows:

C12's (for non-commandos mostly) - 12k a crate
C22's - 16k a crate
Cryobans - 20k a crate
Glops - 23k a crate
Thermal Detonators - 40k a crate
Protons - 50k a crate

I've left Imperial Detonators off because the speed on them is ridiculously high. They're mostly around 20 seconds, but I've seen them as low as 10. If I did crates of those, I'd charge 45k as they take more than Thermals, but less than Protons.

I do pretty good business at those prices. The only thing I'd like to see improved is their accurracy and ability to actually use the Radius to affect multiple targets. I've only hit multiple targets a handful of times out of all the C12's I've thrown.

I've noticed that most area attacking (including pistol shots and grenades), if the FIRST attack is the area attack, it will merely piss off adjacent enemies and make them aggro rather than damage them. Subsequent attacks should hurt them more.

Course, the C12's radius is only 5m, which is nearly worthless too.

Just like everything else weapon wise you need the best resources in order to craft high damaging munitions like Mines and Grenades ...yeah they are a bit of a pain with several sub-components but personally I stock some that way i can have almost everything in stock....also i do not charge a huge price on them cause they are something that does not have to be purchased hehe they help with General combat experience a great deal ....so i try to mine myself what i need tocreate them...and keep pricing around7 + or - cpu of resources used for final pricing... I'm not looking to make great amounts of money off of them, i just make them to help draw in those who like to use them

Are there any munitions (grenades) specialists out there? I realize most munitions are tedious to craft and have a smaller market but I'm interested in stocking them. What do I need to know?

They use them for combat xp. It is irrelevant the damage they do. To be honest though of the grenades you will find a market for are c12s c22s cryoban proton, and glop which are hard as hell to make. The remainers will not really sell. Cryoban and protons are used for their unique abilities. Cryoban being cold damage good for what krayt dragons. Protons do heat. I think not sure they set targets on fire. In either case their is no real competition on these things. So do not be worried that much about stats. The c12 and c22 really do not care about they are used only for combat xp grinding.

What is really important in grenades is the attachments you drop on them. So sell a crate of protons but also sell a crate of grenade wireing kits aswell. The attachments only improve the weapon no downside. If your not putting these on you doing a disservice to your customer.

Thank you for that great info. I'm going to stock the full range.. I've noticed this (grenades) is an area that could be improved upon on my server and I'm looking to fill the niche. Commandos have been asking for them, so why not. I actually played around with my c12s today.. got to 206-857 or something.. 2.7 speed.. I'm quite proud of them.. I'm going to do a full run of them.. Tell you what.. I'm going to keep a crate on me at all times.. with no combat skills this allows me some self-defense when evil hermits and other formidable (lol) baddies are milling about my harvesters.. I also think that (along with pikemen and their NON-craftable NS lances) Commando and these grenades might be taking a turn towards fotm status.. at least on my server.. I've gotten so many calls for munitions and rocket launchers etc that i can't avoid it.. and there are only so many t21 and jawa runs I can stomach.. but to be honest not before this weekend have i even looked at the munitions line.. so.. yeah.. a rambling post, but my point is.. woot these are actually nice weapons with an already broad and maybe expanding market.
