I have all mine sliced by a smuggler except for weapons sold on the Crate vendor. In my partnership I run the Damage Sliced, Speed Sliced (both of these can include krayt/special sliced weapons), Pups, and Crated Weapons vendors. One partner runs the Melee vendor and Krayt/Special Weapons vendor (unsliced), and another runs the Ranged vendor and Heavy Weapons/Grenade vendors (unsliced). I think we run one of the best weapons businesses in all of SWG.

I used to have a friend slice em for my vendor...but i got really tired of trying to price sliced weapons and gave up, now i only sell unsliced (unless they're specialty like acklay, krayt, etc)

Yeah, I slice my stuff too, but greatly prefer the unsliced market. And to answer Felton's other question, no, I have never needed to slice weapons to pull in a good living from WS. I didn't have and wouldn't have even started sliced vendors if a friend hadn't dropped a master smuggler accountin my lap a couple months ago.

No. It would take more time and money to do that and I'd have to pass said costs onto the customers who may not even want a sliced weapon in the first place. I see slicing as something the customer should have done on their own assuming they want it. Not only will it bring business to more Smugglers, but it'll encourage more sales on my end as people who are usually going after a sliced weapon buy multiple items as opposed to just one.

I personally do not slice my weapons, but i do hire smugglers to slice my stuff before posting it on my vendor. I use my guild smuggler first, but if he's not around, i've got 2 backup smugglers i contact.
but anyway, all the stuff on my vendor is already sliced if that's what your question actually boils down to.

Yes, but I pretty much do it cause unsliced weapons don't really sell well on my server.

NO - I dont slice my own weapons - i have two contract master smugglers do it for me (one is in guild and one is outside). I pay them extremely well for it. I had to have two as i found that people didnt stay master smuggler for very long, and i had to go out and find another contract smuggler which slowed sales.
I used to sell unsliced weapons, but changed to only sliced and my sales and my customers love it that way.
I used to slice my own weapons, but amended my profile so i could go fight as well as craft. I like the interaction with my smugglers. They like it too - especially as they get first option on any quality sliced weapon they fancy...
IMO smuggler is a crap profession in terms of abilties at the moment and needs a total rewrite to make it fun.

I have an alt Master Smuggler that does the slicing of my weapons. I sell sliced and unsliced. There is absolutely no doubt that a tidy sum of $$$ can be made selling great damage sliced weapons, but not-so-great sliced weapons sit around for a bit. They do sell at a very good discount sooner or later. I have also found that slicing weapons that have been superceded byimproved models is a great way to move the old stock out. I wish I had more time to sell the majority of my weapons sliced, but it works out well over all.

Yepp I slice my own weapons, just to press the costs (by loads
) and to be quick and to be able to blame myslef and not someone else for bad slices on HQ weapons.

For the most part yes, i have a guild smuggler to slice my weapons and ive seen that i have about a 3 :1 sales ratio of Sliced VS non sliced. The rarity of smugglers + the randomness of slicing makes it so aplayer would rather buy 1 sliced weapon at 10 x the base price rather than take the risk of the slice.
