I dont think it would die at all... i know personally im gonna drop WS and pick up space ship crafting and drop pistoleer for pilot... but, you said who would stay behind and kill rancors, kryants, etc... i dunno, but last time i checked with planes you could strafe an area, you know come in from the sky and pow pow pow, a kraynt is dead, you know what i mean, and maybe the WSs can craft ohh say an A-Bomb and just drop it in an area from a plane, then loot the bodies(cuz you know loot survives the worst catostraphes)... its a little dramatic example but looting and stuff will still go on, atleast i think so

Even Shipwrights is not viable for long. Everyone will be making them, and ships cannot be destroyed once in your data pad. Now tell me how your going to make credits off that, and have it be worth the effort.

While this discussion is would be properly held on the (non-existent) Shipwright forum, this willmost certainly not be the case. The initial spike of demand for ships will certainly wane after a bit, but Shipwrights will constantly be in high demand for replacement parts and tweaking (as the individual components of your ship will be able to be swapped out, just like crystals/pearls on the new lightsabers).

As for the "deathof weaponsmithing"... hardly. Someone has to supply weapons for the ships, and "twitch-based" combat is not for everyone. There will still be plenty of strong sales of all theweaponry you make now.

The sky is falling!! The sky is falling!!!

good thing we'll all be jedi. Then we don't need a WS anyway. We'll all have sabers.

Im going to be playing on an off (cancelling & reactivating my acct accordingly) and I have no interest in jedihood at this point. There's only one reason I will try to unlock and thats so I can have another character slot. Once I get it, Im done. Many people dont care about jedi. Many others that do, wont make it. Either way, we will always be needed. Furthermore, who knows, maybe weapons wont be 'built in' to ships. Maybe theyll need a weaponsmith to craft them. In which case, ...Kaching!!!
