They look alright, but what are looks? I personally want to know damage types, ranges, etc.

Very cool and about time we get somenew, non-loot stuff to craft!
But I'm thinking all the devs had lying around the studio for inspiration was a Heckler & Koch G36 and a Steyr AUG.

I just hope they don't require silly things like Axidite Iron and things like that which are Capped on resource quality.

Well they stated this is not all the new weapons, to the person that said they hope this is not all of them.
Secondly, I have a few questions for you to raise Felton.
1) Are these going to be full schematics are our disposal without hording some sort of loot schem that is one use or five or three.
2) Is there any chance you can push for the loot schem weapons to either be universally increased to 5 uses per schem or permanent schems after some sort of quest like that for RIS. Scythe prices for instancecontinue to rise due to the consistanly scarce shortage of schematics.
3) No surpise on the weapons looks, the .tre files have been in for like a really long year or something like that. Anyways, I know they are balancing stats and other stuff but surely they could have released a little more information on the generic stats like damage type that weaponsmiths don't have a chance to alter.

Just saw these a little while ago and I must say that I am impressed. Some new weapons to make and see how the stats come out.. and how stats will effect combat and such.

yeah, it'd be really nice to get these as standard schematics, not looted ones...or at least if they're looted, not make them like scythes in the fact that only so many can be made before no one is capable of getting the schematic anymore.

We need a RIS version. and well i don't really think they look all that great :/
well i do really like the : Massassi Ink Rifle, RSF Sword, and the geo carbine. but the rest looks wat to boring. We need stuff that stands out! The melee is nice but the ranged well it's not all that in my eyes. Stats might be nice but the looks are so not!

Yeah great looking weapons!! Can't wait for this release, everyone is holding their breath for it. Have to say though, it would be really nice to be able to make a suitable weapon for pikeman.

... just my two cents:
1. it says "Combat Upgrade: New Weapons Part 1"
got it? Part 1? there wouldnt b need to write that if there wasnt (at least) one other Part
2. about the dmg type
its mostly in the name and/or description
Carbines:
the Geo .... most obviously Stun
the Needler .... probably Kinetic due to "sharp projectile"
the Proton .... guessing Blast (maybe Energy)
Pistols
the Ion .... Stun
the Flechette .... Kinetic again
the Hammer .... probably Blast
the Flare .... Heat, obviously again.... i think it might even have a Fire DOT on it
Rifles
the Proton .... guessing again, but as with the carbine.... Blast
the Massai Ink.... first guess would b acid and id say a chance to blind....
Melee
the Marauder .... Kinetic, thought dealing HIGH Wounds (like 80% or so)
the Sith .... Kinetic, chance to Intimidate
the Acid sword.... hm..... might be..... Heat
the RSF .... Kinetic again, i guess... thought due to its red look... some bleeding DOT on it
(or dealing HEAT dmg)
the Blaster Fist.. easy again
3. as i wrote above, possibly more DOT (and stat changing) Weapons
as far as i know, there is atm only the "modified Republic Blaster" in game as a crafted weapon with a
DOT effect, this will thrive the economy *Hey, WS mine, i need 2k more of those RSF Swords*
i think if there are really mods to the stat attacks (skillenhancements are already implied on weapons
- have a look at the featherweight FWG5 (crafted) and various looted ones), this might get a new edge
to pvp, choosing a lower dmg weapon that enhances my chance to intimidate/blind/dizzy/whatever my
opponent....
more choices, more crafters, more strategy, more fun, more need for doctors on field
OH.... almost missed them... SQUADLEADERS would finally make a really big influence (clearing out stat
changes with "formup")... just a thought
4. real Choice of Weapon
fact is, nowadays, ppl dont really have a choice of weapons... and i do not only mean the TKM....
especially when it comes to pvp, the possibilities are mostly down to the one you can enhance with
that loot you looted earlier that day (or payed insane ammounts of money for)
i hope that with the upgrade, there will b a real choice about what weapon to use .... fitting your
very own style of game play (-> uplink to the DOTs on point 3) .... (some goes with armour, btw)
5. various Damage Types
atm, only pistols have a real choice.... we get all the dmg types (but electricity), thought most of
them dont come with AP, sts in pvp, were back to Acid, Energy and Stun (Geo no AP as well, but low
armour def on that....) as if you didnt know
with these new weapon having different Damage Types, there might as well b new challenges to the AS,
needing to get one stat higher...
6. conclusion
atm, its down to one (or two) weapons and dmg types with most professions...
with the change of the dmg types, and the AP system to the new 2 (or was it 3?) settings system, and
the (hopefully) dot and/or skillenhancements on the weapon there will b loads of fun and new challenges
not only for the fighters out there, but for the as, ws, be (required for dots on weapons?) as well.
im starting to like that CU.... i really hope they dont mess it up, balance is everything. but it does
sound nice so far. and i like the look of the new Armour
for closing: when ive gotten something wrong, it wasnt my intention, i just got it wrong.... same goes
with pissing of somebody btw
i would like to thank you for reading and if you have questions or i did write something misleading
just pm me or reply to my msg, ill hear you
finally i hope this will look good on the page *praying*

Rumor has it that the devs are toying with the idea of a E-Web Repeating Blaster (seen in Eps V where snowtroopers are setting it up near the falcon, but get shot up by the falcons mini turrets)
