no disrespect to the WS's.

i have an e-11 MKII

it has a base dps of 226 (or very close)
my moded dps is 446

maybe this is what ppl are looking at and wanting you as WS to make. not realizing the 4-500 dps is because its in thier hands/inventory

Gah this Thread bothers me.. who has not recieved outlandish requests... Its a part of everyday business.. your the expert. It is your job to tell the non-WS that either you can not make their request or that their request can not be done. For every Outlandish I bet you get 5 normal requests. That means your doing a brisk business. Now, stop posting here and go fill those orders.

Oh please, let us have a bit of fun here.

I use a lot of my time explaining how the weaponsmithing works to people and I enjoy doing so, but once in a while you get hit by someone who just refuses to believe what youre saying and who has no manners or graps of how you treat other people. There is people out there, who believe that my time is not important and that I should stop whatever Im doing to start helping them out.

Luckily these are few and far between as if they weren't I woldn't keep this profession, as the interaction with the customers is one of the thing I enjoy the most, however if we cant have a bit of fun at the exspense of the bad costumers on our very own profession board and if we cannot let each others know that this is a thing we all come a cross once in a while and help each others out tackling it (preferablly with humour) then what good is a strong WS community?

Lighten up, this is not a we hate all costumers post. A lot of my costumers have actually turned into very good friends.

i also spend a lot of time explaining to people what is/isnt possible (mainly to guildmates , as i dont tend to sell alot outside of my guild)

I try to be patient, and don't normally mind spending some time with these conversations, but one i had last night went to far in the end!! (thankfully it wasnt a guildmate, and I won't embaress them even further by posting there name here, they know who they are.

potential customer - " u weaponsmith?"

me-"sure am m8, can i help you?"

pc - " u better be able to"

me - " lol, well, i'll try, what can i do for you?"

pc - " i want a T21 with max damage of over 1200"

me - " sorry, but thats just not possible, the max damage cap on a T21 is around 1148"

pc- " no its not"

me - " im sure it is m8, in fact i am positive it is"

pc- "well******* said he could make me one with 1400 max damage"

me- " seeing as ******** is one of the oldest and most respected WS on the server, im 100% sure he wouldnt have told you this"

pc- " well he did, nub"

me- " ok then , goodbye"

pc- " why u going somewhere??"

at this point i just carried on crafting

5 minutes later

pc- "well are you going to make me my gun or what? i'll pay you 300k for it"

me- " as i explained, the max damage you can get would be just under 1150"

me- " and to make this weapon, i would need 6 krayt tissue with real high damage mods on them , over 140"

pc- " well make it then"

me (getting annoyed now) - "if i had these tissues, i would make the gun and sell it for over 10 million probably mate, and i definatly wouldnt be making it for you"

pc - "10 million??yeah right? who do you think i am? a nub?"

me- " well, now you mention it........"

pc- "what do you mean by that?"

me- " look i've had enough of this now, please go pester somewone else"

10 minutes go by

pc- " ok make that gun for me, 1150 max damage, and i want SAC to be under 90. I will pay you 1 million if do it now"

me- "goodbye fool"

Not to burst your bubble... but that is an awful base DPS even for a low SAC E11 MkII. A high DPS E11 MkII should be over 300 DPS. If you want one with really low SAC, the DPS will be lower, mostly due to the speed being slower. A base DPS of 226 is low even for a laser carbine...

Probably a Pre-cu one that got converted. I'm thinking that a crate I had converted to stats about like that. Put them on my vendor for like 7.5k. Sold too. In fact, a respec BH went in and bought one when waiting for a jedi guildmate to come back from a grinding mission and used it on him. Lucky for my guildie the guy was too cheap to buy the 1063 krayt carbs I had stocked at the time.

How's this for outlandish?

Last night I got an e-mail order for three 'High Capability Squatter Pistols'.

I dont have a reputation as a SW so only Not rich customers come to me. When they ask me how good a weapon i can make i tell them is going to be crappy but cheap. If they agree, when they finally get their gun they are impress. They say "Wow, this is way better than i expected from you. They go away happy and come back and send their friends to me. I dont sell uber weapons. I just sell good weapons at decent prices.

Hell I would make him one and change the name to squatter
