I told you guys that I would let you know if/when I had an update on an additional testing slot for the Combat Upgrade Alpha, so... here it is.

Last week, Tiggs confirmed that I needed to fill my old vacant slot on the team. I tried to contact Logix to get her input on the matter (since she had handled the original application process), to no avail. Ultimately, I chose CorenLanra (some of you may know him as Stettin of Chilastra) to take my old spot as a tester. I think you guys will agree that his knowledge and dedication to the profession make him an excellent choice. His website is even better than mine is. =)

Please welcome him to the team. "The Weaponsmizzles" now consist of myself, Mor-Dan, sabacc1000, Ybagi, Biggens77, and CorenLanra. We will all do our best to represent everyone's interests as a part of the alpha testing of the CURB.

Everyone have a safe holiday. I'll be out-of-town for the next week, so hopefully you'll forgive me for not posting.

Sorry but I think putting something important as the krayt tissue faq or WS grind faq under a sub thread, and then stickying the stupid "Questions to never ask a weaponsmith" thread is a bit of a hinderance to our forum.

Is this forum the general comedy hour or a place for the benefit of the actual profession?

If this is really an issue for people, I can unsticky the "Questions" thread. The Smugglers, however, have had one up for a long time, and it's generally a good place for people to vent and share a laugh over their experiences in the profession. In this sense, it helps build a better community, which is why I stickied it. I consolidated the other threads into one post because there were ones that I wanted noticed that weren't stickied, and to sticky every single one of them would have unnecessarily cluttered the forum. Putting everything into one thread makes for one stop shopping for people looking for an assortment of good info.

A pet project of mine that's been in development for well over a year now should be able to replace the entire "Info and FAQ" thread when it's completed.

no no, I think we all enjoy that thread, I dont know how many of us use this forum to inform customers, but I have on occasion directed them to things like the krayt FAQ. It is just more difficult to do so now....
