wow, that took forever to read, actually to be honest i just skimmed half of it. im not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but, im the leader of a guild and a politician, that means i have a guild hall, which is in another members name, a city hall, which is a public building, and a medium house. thats a hell of a lot of storage. not to mention, why not just have one or two of your guild mates/friends drop a few houses for you??????? i mean i have access to 4 small naboo houses i can use for storage. i think the problem might be that some of you are working to hard at being self sufficient and over looking the main principal of a MMO, which is to rely on others for things that you can do yourself. just give it a try, ask one of your combat buddies if they can place (INSERT house deed here) for you and give you admin so you can pay the maintenance.

Create another toon on another server and find a crafter there that has the same problem as you. Then you agree to drop a few houses for each other on the other guys server. 5 medium houses per character with 4 extra characters means you can drop down 20 houses, in addition to whatever your primary character has.

Be sure he names it for you andsets you as admin. Then be sure to make it a private residence.

I did this. Came into one of my homes and found many crates of good quality resources missing. Sent an email to the player, no response. Added to friends list, never see him on. Not sure that he DID take them, but seems odd.

Sent a ticket to CSR's who told me that "if he is indeed the owner of the house he is within his rights to take anything you leave there".

This is my two Cents

1) Allow resources to stack infinitely... I would like to keep ONE stack of 375K Copper or 1.3M Steel

2) Allow us to restack Factory Crates together. If I split a factory crate or accidentally take an Item out, I should be able to Recombine the pieces together into a single item. Factory Crates should be infinitely stackable as long as the serial numbers are the same, so the max items in a possible factory crate is 1000.

3) There is a piece of furniture that can be made by the architect called the "Tool Chest" I want to be able to drop all my resources in the toolchest (if the devs want to cap the items in the toolchest to 50 go ahead)

The only resources of oneclass(Mineral, Gas, Orgainic, etc)can be dropped into the Toolchest at a time and when you view the Items in the toolchest you can see (in the case of minerals):
{Resource Name} | {Resource Type} | {CR} | {CD} | {DR} | {HR} | {MA} | {OQ} | {SR} | {UT} | {Quantity}

Lastly, Items in the ToolchestSHOULD NOT count against the house item limits... then you'll never hear another peep from me about the ***** house limits being too low.

Not a big deal. Since you're not going to fly through a 100k stack THAT quickly, store the extras in the bank. Having a city bank is convenient. Nice insurance against freak house decay or something too.

You also have to ask if yourself if you really need 500k+ of certain resources. Take green diamond gemstone or polonium iron. I've seen other weaponsmiths throw 6 heavies on a spawn of 500ish OQ polonium iron(that happened to be the best on our server at the time). Really, are you going to need that?

I have never thought to myself:

"Self, I really have too much material from that spawn that was great 2 months ago".

I have run out of stuff from that great spawn two months ago and said:

"Self, why didn't you harvest more of that?"

The current (or just passed) polonium spawn on Sunrunner was something like OQ:30, Cond: 80

Well, I'm guilty of running multiple accounts, but I still have storage issues. I have found a few ways to maximize it:

Small houses are two lots and hold 150 items. Factories are 1 lot and hold 100 (not to mention output hopper). So, instead of making a small house for your storage, make 2 factories.

Vendors are safe to use so long as you don't leave items in the storage area. Putstacks of resourcesup for sale for 9999999 credits. Then you have 30 days of storage there, and will be notified when you need to move them. It looks like vendor storage is going to change soon, so keep an eye on the patch notes.

Hope this helps

Yes i know about factories and vendors and i have done these things myself sevral times...But these are using the game system in ways that it was not ment to be. Im simply asking for a way to decorate my house and craft at the same time with out having to jump thrue hoops to do so. Factories as storage is good yes and more items than a small 1 lot naboo...but its also 10x the cost. Even if money is not the problem why should i have to keep running to the factory to get resorces just to make sompthing.

Personally I like the Chest idea.Give us a chest at master that hold say 150 it would prob solve 90% of the prob with just a lil organizing.As for the current using freinds and such well people dont play forever and come and go forcing ya to find new peeps.Theres enough interdependence going on in all trades that begging for space shouldnt be another.

Howdy;

Yes on the storage furniture - great idea having a tool chest or like object as a backpack type item without adding to max in house. I am currently using my Shoppe and two friends houses PLUS two factory's and the bank and am cramped even so <sigh>

The infrastucture for backpacks works = 1 item inventory. Just hook to houses for a Compartment Furniture item and call it anything they want.

Better than a storage shed - I am already begging slots from others - can't eat another of mine for this, 8]

I would love to see something like ya'll are talking about as far as a tool chest goes with storage.For right now i am using a vendor in my house and am just storing everything in the stockroom. I have had no problems accessing the stockroom, and getting out my resources. This all being said it would be nice to be able to put more items into furniture or houses. If not i guess my vendor and i will become closer every day lol.

Thanks all i have enjoyed reading your posts.

Part of me wantrs to laugh here becuase I am lucky enough to get a extra 200 or so spaces for free. How you ask??? I am the mayor and have admin to the Town Hall. I can decorate with guns I make and there are two rooms in which to store my wares. I turned one room into my Mayor's office and the other into my weaponsmith workshop. I also have two houses in town (one for storage and one for vendor) For a while I even had my vendor in the TH but the only problem with that is no Sign changes.

My suggestion for those who can't find space is to shack up with a rich townperson (preferably a fighter of some kind) Offer them a free gun every week in return for admin to the house. I mean really, one free gun a week is not gonna kill sales at all and my even spur new buisness. People will ask this uber fighter where he gets his guns and he'll say he got them from you. Its a win-win, esspecially if the guy has a large house. Hell you could even offer a guy who has no house to buy him one in return for admin.

Lastly, everyone likes a mall. I personally love shopping malls while waiting for the Shuttle. All the crafters in a city can benifit from this. Plus this relieves your burden of putting up a new house for your vendor. Join Player cities. They will welcome your buisness and often become your best buyers. Anyway, hope that helped. Good luck to you all.
