Stick with the crafted stocks for rifles (unless youre a rich novice who wants a fast rifle that will do you no good once you reach master)

The Form-Fitted stocks are best for carbines in my opinion, since they do not have speed caps that can be reached at master

Since most people who seriously do Carbineer tend to pick up the Carbines line in BH, this isn't an issues. IMO, these stocks are best used in LLC's or flamers...I made one with some krayt tissues that were along the lines of 34 max, -.85 speed and used a form fitted stock. 34% damage slice. End result: 1100 max LLC with something obescene for a speed...I think it was 3.7.

Since HAM and speed are totally useless in SWG, the IMP stocks have limited use.

Go for max damage instead (Adv Crafted Stock).

Only use Imp Stocks in flamers, LLC and carbines... the 0.001% of the players that still play those profs, and haven't switched to Rifle or MeleeStacker, might like it.

the other problem is, last I looked at least, the ADV Stock is broken.
It has an issue in expiramentation.
A crafted ADV stock will also havea HUGE amount of HAM it will add to the finished weapon. On the order of 20/20/20.
I pretty much have stopped using crafted stocks as they are a bigger hinderance to the client then a help.

wow.. on my server people lap up the stocked weapons faster than the non stocked. since buffs are so high, HAM means very little to a PvP'er.

Don't use Imp Stocks in Riffles, it's a waste of a good loot reward, use normal advanced stock in them. The Imp Stocks still sell for 100-150k and the difference in riffles is laughable. Just buy5-6 Adv. Stock T-21s and you'll get one that's better sliced then the 1 Imp T-21 you'll have made.

Like everyone said, HAM means nothing to players as reaching 1500 focus is not a big problem. Even non speed capped rifflemen will buy the Adv Stocked ones.

I've spent a whole lotta money in speed tapes (3 sets of +7) and riffles I buy by the crate. Slice em and use em they destroy in a day or two.

Carbines, flamethrowers and LLC are the way to go with Form-Fitted.

I have a couple master rifleman customers who swear by the form-fitted stocks. It's the HAM that makes a huge difference to them.

I will occasionally make them a custom T-21 with the FFSusing a balance of points spent between damage, condition, and efficiency. A decent one will have just over 1000 condition, damage in the 370's to 380's, and a mind cost of less than 70. You're probablyover 100mind cost on a normal advanced stocked T21.

The primary guy who buys these says that the reduced mind cost allows him to spam headshot3 while on brandy/canape and he never sees his mind bar drop at all. 30 mind per second does add up over time.

I'm thinking about having some T-21s and/or DXR-6bs made with my imp stocks, and I was wondering what I'd be giving up by using these as opposed to some other stocks that are available.

the answer is easy. advanced weapon stocks, at the moment, are superior to imperial theme stocks. the main reason, is that since getting speed capped is so easy, damage is king. a 3.0 speed 400 max t21 shoots as fast as a 7.0 speed 500 max t21 with regards to the current combat system.

with buffs, ham cost is irrelevant. so i would recommend not wasting imp stocks right now on the weapons you have noted.

i would say that in the new combat rebalance, that a 3.0 speed rifle will be significantly faster in combat than a 7.0 speed one, regardless if both riflemen have +115 speed.

Must admit, hats off to whoever discovered the 6 point experimentation fix/workaround on player-crafted stocks.

Current advanced stocks running at 40/40, 0.296 spd, 26/26/25 ham costs (12 pts helps) with a 675sr Corellian Deciduous spawn Chilastra just had. The 15 extra on min dam tightens up the damage range somewhat, especially post slice, so your average DPS will be increased more than the +10 on max would initially suggest.

As for Imp Stocks, it's nice to hand a newly made carbine to a 'bineer and say "gonna be a little harder to incap yourself with this one, bud".
