our server is going live later today on TC and we should be able to test this with values well above the +30. Remember that there is a law of diminishing returns in effect on everything so in order to actually get the 3rd extra point even if it weren't capped that low you would still likely need more than the +30 to achieve this. I'll also be taking a look at the conversion as there's a few things I'm really interested in seeing work.(legendary tissues, exceptional barrels, a few guns that currently have +220 IRM). Anyways by tonight I should have an answer to at least the +30 experimentation and possibly several others.
See my above reply....
I already tested +30 and it dos not give 13 points, only 12.
I'm not sure what you are getting at with "diminishing returns" if +10 gives 1, then +20 gives 2 and +30 still gives 2 any more wouldn't make a difference.

it means the higher you go the less results you get for your effort. Best way to test this is to have a +40 outfit to see if you get 13 points.

based on some tewsting i did on the current - (non CU server - corbantis) i found a statistical experimental imporvement in crafting using a +25 suit as opposed to using a +20 suit. I did this test in a reserch city - and i have +10 FS experiment
results (making 30 nyms VK's - 15 with each suit)
20pt suit
Amazing success - 22%
Great success - 77%
Moderate success - 1%
25pt suit
Amazing success - 32%
Great Success - 68%
based on the sample size it is still trick to say if its a meaningful difference - but certainly worth considering...

When chilastra had CU conversion testing I put together a +50 WS exp suit made no difference maybe come CU it will since we have so much we can experiment to. Hate not being able to fill out speed/damage.
Regarding the +20 to +25 testing I must agree with that.

Interesting... I may have to break out my other tapes then. It's going to be hard for me to really tell the diff though cause I just (finally got the motivation) unlocked my FS experiment tree and am now 2xxx FS crafting.

In the CU the +25 cap has been removed meaning you can get more then 25 in SEA mods to work but need someone to test if it is now posible to get more then 12 exp points. If anyone is able to test this please post here
Maybe I missed it, but where did you hear that the +25 cap was removed? Right now on Live you can equip more than +25 in SEAs, and the additional bonus will show up next to your skillmods, however only +25 is counted when the game calculates anything. Are you certain things have changed in the CU?

I thought this was read from the character profile (which is used in DPS mod) Now that I think of it, it was silly to assume... we all know about that

The +25 in skills is no longer capped from tapes I had 198 polearm speed with all my tapes etc when I examined my NSEL it said I would hit every 1.02 seconds or something.

yea Marrstu speed cap is around +200 for all professions, atleast that's with the speed formula in place for carbineer but I doubt its different per profession.
