I think I've been getting 460 on the DAM- which was better than the sliced ones I came across

mine are 487 max damage, you guys must have bad resources.

Every server is different. Just because you can hit 487 on your server does not mean someone on a different server with the best resources ever seen there can match.

Thats what i meant, the server must have bad resources, not the smith, sorry for the confusion, wasn't criticizing the smith at all.

Ah man - I was just off to have a sob ! I've looked around an my stats seem to be about right on a flat out DAM experimented items (expermentation is normal 10 btw). The sliced ones I found were lower than that - so resources must have been even worse in the past. I may be able to do better than that now as we have had some new resources through. Might give it a go later to see. Server is Chimaera btw.

I have been selling both reg power hammers ( no range experimentation) and my -6,-6,-6 range mod PH's ( 111-444dmg on range mod ones) and it's funny people seem to still buy the regular -30 range power hammers more often than the other so i guess it all depends if they pay attention when in combat how many times they miss or not hehe...I have asked a few Master Swords players to run experiments for me comparing the dmg and how often they hit with each type of PH vs. the same enemy and they all agree that the -6,-6,-6 range mod ones are better over all so i guess it just needs to filter out there to everyone else ....

Aye.. I agree that the new swordsman and casual warrior only looks at damage stats. I stock the big hitters, but my regular customers know that I enjoy custom-tailoring weapons to their specifications.

As if to prove my point - I've noticed on the Chim trade forums someone is selling sliced power hammers, the most DAM is 463. Thats my base on a non-sliced one. So I guess the resources must have been crap for some time here.

I've been selling the -8 to range mods model for some time. For a while it was by far more popular than the higher damage model. Now its back the other way around, so I make sure I have plenty of stock of both.

You can get pretty accurate hammers by experimenting the range in the re-cores. My latest batch of hammers are -21/-21/-20. And they mave maxed out damage re-cores and weapon damage experimentation. So the stats for the hammer are 465 max damage and 5.4 speed. As a master swordsman, I don't miss awhole lot wih those hammers. Its at this point that the 11 and 12 point smiths shine. I've got 11 points, so I can max out damage in the re-core then still have 2 or 3 points to throw into ranges. Would be a little different if I could experiment a re-core past 80%, but on Tempest there hasn't been that great spawn of ditanium. I think 832UT is the best right now.
